Emma earned her 200-hour certification from One Soul Yoga in 2023. She started her yoga journey at One Soul in 2021 and fell in love with the atmosphere of the studio and the benefits of yoga. She would love to provide those same feelings for others through her classes - creating a safe, judgment-free space to work on our practice. Her other passions are coffee, plants, and books. Her loves are her husband and her dogs!
Description
Get your week kicked off right with mindful movement and intention-setting in this 8:30am hatha yoga class. We'll match movement to breath and intention, building just enough heat, and spend time in some quiet, deeper stretches, as well. It's the perfect way to get your mind and body ready to tackle a new week.

Rachel (CYT 500) began practicing yoga in 2014 at Brick House Yoga in Sulphur Springs. She was training for a half-marathon at the time and wanted to use yoga to prevent injury and aid in stress relief to reduce migraine headaches. While a yoga practice was perfect for both of these goals, she found so much more on the mat. Without a doubt, the yoga mat is the first place she has ever experienced complete non-judgment. It is where she learned self-acceptance, presence and stillness--and it is where she started a journey of self-discovery that continues today. In short, yoga changed her life. She holds additional certification in Restorative, Yin and Trauma Informed Yoga and has a special interest in teaching body-positive classes and classes geared for beginners.
Description
Empower Hour will focus on working through traditional postures, seated and standing, by matching breath to movement throughout the practice. Class will start with slow centering techniques, including stress release and intention-setting, in order to get the most out of the practice and carry the benefit throughout the rest of our day/week. This class will move with intention incorporating poses that focus on larger muscle groups in controlled movements to build foundation and encourage grounding. This class is specifically designed to allow you to tap into your own power, mentally and physically. You will leave this practice feeling centered, encouraged, and ready to move in and through the world with confidence and strength, recognizing that you already have all that you will ever need, that you are enough. The class is suitable for all levels, and modifications will be explained to allow for decreasing or increasing levels of practice.

Lunch Flow: Move is a shortened gentle 40-minute midday practice to help you gain flexibility, balance and strength while flowing through yoga postures linked with breath. Class will start with centering and breath control and then flow through seated, standing and supine postures. This shortened practice is a perfect way to boost your productivity and help get you through the mid-day slump. Practice always ends in savasana to bring you back to your center. This class is suitable for all levels and variations will be offered to help increase or decrease your practice needs.

Power Flow is an active-full body vinyasa-based class open to all levels. This class incorporates breath to movement and intervals of low and high intensity. It’s back—it’s the same Candlelight Immersion class you know and love but over the next 8 weeks each class will focus on a different chakra, or energetic system in the body. Join us for a transformative journey through the chakras in DeAnna’s Candlelight Immersion Chakra Series starting Tuesday, September 9 at 8 pm. Each week, we focus on a different chakra, combining the power of yoga and sound healing to bring balance and harmony to your energy centers.
The series will conclude on October 22 with an integration session that includes a chakra meditation and full chakra sound bath. We will use gentle yoga stretching, meditation and sound healing (such as the ocean drum, crystal singing bowls, tuning forks) to open the body’s subtle energy and encourage the release of blockages. Weekly Chakra Focus: Each class is dedicated to one of the seven chakras, starting from the Root Chakra and moving up to the Crown Chakra. We will explore the unique qualities and functions of each chakra, aiming to unblock and balance your energy flow.
Yoga Practice: Begin with a gentle, chakra-specific yoga sequence designed to activate and align the targeted energy center. The poses and movements will help release physical and emotional blockages, promoting a free flow of energy.

This 40-minute mid-day class focuses mainly on deep stretching and slow-moving sequences held for several breaths to help loosen the body and reduce tension. Active Flow is a vinyasa-based yoga class that links breath to movement. This faster-paced class helps move and work the body while building strength, stamina and balance. Active Flow is open to all levels—variations are suggested to help make this practice your own. Active Flow always ends in savasana to help bring the mind and body back to center.

Description
Let's move, shake, play and flow to the rhythm in this fun and active class for adults! This class will explore the use of props for variations on poses (hula hoops, straps, blocks). We move and flow with Ecstatic Dance music to keep us motivated and active for most of the class. A wind down and savasana in the last 15 minutes brings us back to a peaceful ending to our practice. This class is fast paced and is good for all levels of students who are active and willing to dance, play and shake their bodies!

DeAnna McDearmont
DeAnna McDearmont is a co-owner of One Soul Yoga & Wellness Center in Sulphur Springs, TX and a dedicated Trauma Informed E-RYT 500, YACEP-certified yoga instructor, serving as the lead trainer for Yoga Teacher Training programs. She is a passionate yoga and sound facilitator dedicated to empowering others on their journey to wellness and self-discovery.
As a certified practitioner of Biofield Tuning and Sound Healing, she uses the transformative power of sound and energy to support profound release and shifts in the subtle body. DeAnna brings a wealth of experience and a nurturing approach to every class, retreat, and sound healing session she facilitates at One Soul.
Holding additional certifications in Kundalini, Meditation, Yin, Restorative, and Trauma-Informed practices, DeAnna blends compassion and expertise in her teaching and offers safe, accessible and nurturing practices for all levels. She empowers students to explore their unique needs by encouraging body awareness and connection with body and mind.
Her teaching philosophy integrates ancient wisdom with modern techniques, inspiring students to deepen their understanding of yoga, sound, and energy work. With a heart-centered approach, DeAnna’s mission is to hold space for personal growth, healing, and connection through yoga, meditation, and sound.
She offers group yoga classes, sound baths and private Biofield Tuning/tuning fork and sound sessions at One Soul.

Abundant Soul Retreat at One Soul Yoga
September 21 & 22
Our next two-day ladies retreat, Abundant Soul, is scheduled for September 21 & 22 at One Soul Yoga. Held during Fall Equinox, this time of year serves as a subtle reminder to quiet the mind and enter into a space of love and abundance through personal introspection and reflection. We will use this time of gathering to appreciate and honor our growth, find harmony and balance within, recognize gratitude in the small moments, and appreciate the abundance around us. Join us for a weekend of sacred movement, sound, ceremony and community as we transition from summer to fall. Details & registration coming soon.
The Abundant Soul Retreat includes:
• Full day of yoga and activities (sound bath, breathwork, meditation) on Saturday and a half day on Sunday including Mala necklace workshop
• Light breakfast both days, lunch and dinner on Saturday, plus wine on Saturday evening and mimosas on Sunday
• Retreat shirt and small care package
• Optional (and free) sleepover at the studio-BYOB (bring your own bedding), limited glamping campers available for rental
Early Bird Price: (June 1-July 31) $195
Price August 1+: $225
Space limited to 16 participants.

Payment Plan:
If you need to pay for your retreat in installments, we are happy to accommodate. We do ask for $50 upon registering to secure your spot. This does go towards your retreat balance. Remainder will be broken into equal payments depending on the date you register until the due date. You will receive text and/or email invoice reminders each month. Full payment is due Sept 6, 2024.
Cancellation Policy:
If you choose to cancel between any time on or before Sept. 6, you will receive a refund or account credit minus $50. No refunds or credits if canceled after Sept. 6. We know life happens so if there is an extenuating circumstance, please contact us. If, for any reason, One Soul needs to cancel the retreat you will have a choice of a full refund or credit to your account.

Description
Join one of the One Soul instructors on Saturday morning for Saturday Flow to get your weekend moving. This class will vary each week depending on the instructor but will focus on a sequenced practice that encourages alignment, balance and mind/ body connection. This class will end in a relaxing savasana to help you release and connect within. Saturday Flow is appropriate for all skill levels and variations will be offered to increase or decrease your practice needs.

Rachel Finney
Rachel (CYT 500) began practicing yoga in 2014 at Brick House Yoga in Sulphur Springs. She was training for a half-marathon at the time and wanted to use yoga to prevent injury and aid in stress relief to reduce migraine headaches. While a yoga practice was perfect for both of these goals, she found so much more on the mat. Without a doubt, the yoga mat is the first place she has ever experienced complete non-judgment. It is where she learned self-acceptance, presence and stillness--and it is where she started a journey of self-discovery that continues today. In short, yoga changed her life. She holds additional certification in Restorative, Yin and Trauma Informed Yoga and has a special interest in teaching body-positive classes and classes geared for beginners.

Restorative Yoga helps you deeply relax into longer held supported asanas (yoga poses). Using bolsters, blankets and blocks you will be guided through a series of poses that supports and activates your parasympathetic nervous system. This class aids in deep relaxation, stress relief and muscle recovery. It will always end in a brief guided meditation and savasana. This class is ideal for all levels.
