Description
SUMMER MINDFULNESS - NO BOOK UNTIL FALL
FOR JUNE 6TH
From Suffering to Soul Force | Dharma Talk with Jack Kornfield
8 min Audio - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c962rtn0jgo
“We have a certain amount of sorrow. We don't know why. But how do we face it in ourselves and the world around us?” – Jack Kornfield There is a strength in the human spirit that does not come from force or control, but from the courage to face our own sorrow and the suffering of the world with an open heart. When we meet life with love instead of fear, we awaken a power greater than the sword — a soul force that can heal and transform. In the end, what matters is not how we have conquered, but how we have loved.
For the full audio (about 30 min), listen to Heart Wisdom Ep. 282: Awakening Soul Force to Heal the World – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olPlpzjfQLQ
MINDFUL BOOK GROUP
Goal
Our goal for the Mindful Book Group is to embrace mindfulness practices in all areas of our lives. All the books that are chosen for our group are either from teachers of mindfulness or otherwise rooted in mindfulness practices.
Sessions
Each sessions is approximately 60-75 minutes in length. Included in each session is time for mindfulness meditation. Sessions are not recorded but recordings of mindfulness meditations and practices are available to members of the group.
Connections
You will find that our sangha (community) is welcoming, supportive, and kind. We also have an email group available for members to share insights, ask questions, and otherwise connect with one another in between our group sessions.
