In this Mindfulness Meditation class, I will be introducing you to a variety of mindfulness meditation practices. This class is perfect for beginners or practitioners alike.
Depending on the subject I have planned for class, I may include one or two meditations. I will always guide you in the meditations with prompts.
After we conclude our practice, I invite you to a mindful sharing of our experiences. I am always happy to answer any questions that you may have about your meditation practice.

3/20 - Welcome Spring Sound Bath
Note: This session was recorded with a live audience on March 18th, 2023 at Peaceful Wellness Madison Studio. It is audio only.
The Spring Equinox is about new beginnings. In this 60-minute meditation and sound bath, we ask ourselves "How do I want to bloom?" and "What will help me blossom?"
We’ll be starting off with creating the fertile soil with of breath and relaxation, we’ll be planting the seed of your intention also called a sankalpa, and the rest of the session will be watering the seed of your intention with sound, and thus the blossoming of your intention will occur.

This is a shorter 30-minute session, yet still powerful for resetting and raising your vibrations. Come and allow yourself to be soothed and deeply rested.

These sessions are to bring relaxation to your mind and body and de-stress from your busy life. Sessions are a guided rest meditation (yoga nidra) with at times crystal singing bowls added to soothe and bring additional calm.
The session will indicate if crystal singing bowls will be used.
We may start off with some warming up our joints and short seated practice, then move into the practice where you can lie down.
Class meditation varies each week of what is offered as you lie on a yoga mat with blankets, bolsters, and other props.
Depending on the session, the video will be edited for the library.
Fee: $10 or Membership

Kristin Neff changed how we talk about self-care with her enormously popular first book, Self-Compassion. Now, ten years and many studies later, she expands her body of work to explore a brand-new take on self-compassion. Although kindness and self-acceptance allow us to be with ourselves as we are, in all our glorious imperfection, the desire to alleviate suffering at the heart of this mindset isn't always gentle, sometimes it's fierce. Description

As you walk along the heart-shaped, candle-lit labyrinth, you will encounter several points where small singing bowls and other sound items are placed for you to create soothing chimes and sounds. There are also meditation cards with each singing bowl that you can follow the instructions to gong the bowl and receive a positive affirmation. (This is similar to the Sunday morning Meditation Circle.) Some sound healing by Deb will also accompany you for your meditation. Feel free to bring a journal to capture any insights that may arise during your walk.

Description

Join us for our Sunday Meditation Circle, a unique experience where we begin with a guided meditation on mindfulness practices, followed by a moment of sharing. The session then progresses to an interactive exercise that involves meditation cards and singing bowls. Each person chooses a Tibetan singing bowl and directed to a specific area in the room to follow the instructions on the card. The instructions include the position (sitting with the bowl in lap or hand, lying down with the bowl at head or belly, etc.), a technique for playing the bowl, and a set of positive affirmations.
Experience your meditative mind in new and exciting ways! Sound and vibration from a bowl will teach the mind to focus and remind the body to relax so you can quickly and easily reap all the benefits of meditation time.

Fee: $12.00 per each week's class or Studio Membership
NOTE: Outside door is unlocked 10 minutes before class and will be locked again at the start of class so be sure to come early.
