My teaching is rooted in traditional yoga and guided by a heart-centered approach. In each class, we move mindfully, connect with the breath, and create space for self-discovery and inner peace.
Description
Please book class by getting the MindBody App and search Sundara.
In this interchangeable flow, each week the class incorporates different yoga styles with the traditional vinyasa style. These styles may be a slowflow, yin or restorative combined with vinyasa. In a slow flow class the postures flow fluently from one asana to the next while linking up with pranayama while moving at a slower pace. This helps gain awareness of controlling the body and where the body moves through space and time. In a yin class the postures are held for a lengthy amount of time allowing the body to work deep into the muscles connective tissues. Yin targets specific areas of the body and creates a feeling of a dull ache or gentle discomfort. Restorative yoga uses different props to assist the body in different postures. The postures are designed to allow the body to become deeply relaxed and the props help support the body without using any physical effort. The postures are held for several minutes. Each class will incorporate a guided pranayama and a meditation.
