Join Jennifer Brouillard of Roots to Fly Wellness for an express All levels vinyasa style yoga class focused on stretching and light strengthening (which is always optional). We will begin standing with a brief centering and flow right into movement to shift our energy. We will end with stretching and a brief Savasana for integration. This is a great class for all levels of yoga practice. This class is filled with mindful movement and modifications for all levels of practitioners to shift energy and root back into their body. You are encouraged to meet your body wherever it is in that moment and to rest when you need to. Come as you are and take what you need. Connect with your breath, find your center, meet yourself at your edge and release your stress. Remember, what you do to bring peace to your body, mind and soul brings peace to the world. You matter in this world!

Join Jenn Brouillard of Roots to Fly Wellness for a Yin yoga class with Restorative pose modifications. Yin yoga is a stretching focused class done with a cool body. Poses are held for 2 minutes and are all low to the ground. Most poses that are offered offered will have an optional modification to make each pose more restorative if that is what your body is calling for at that moment. In Yin we compress the ligaments and joints with long holds and breath work to help the fascia to open. Yin works into the fascia and aids in joint mobility, flexibility and balance. The compression (the holding of the stretch at it's edge) starves the joint of fluid while stretching the fascia around the joint capsule. When compression is released the joint capsule is freed, but the fascia remains slightly stretched and more open. Fluid, nutrients, and oxygen rushes back to the joint capsule and this flood of hydration is felt in the body as the rebound. Along with this more tangible shift Yin also helps to calm the nervous system (taking your nervous system back into Rest and Restore) and clear the energy channels (meridians) of the body through the fascia.

Flow of class: We will begin with a centering meditation with a focus on getting into the body and breath. We will move through the poses with soft, instrumental frequency music playing in the background throughout class. We will close with a 2 minute body scan with sound bowls and a 5 minute savasana each week.

The focus of this class is to stretch your body, replenish your energy, nurture your mind, release the things that are no longer serving you and recalibrate your focus. Take the Yin pose or the more restorative modification depending on your energetic and physical needs at the time. Enjoy the peace that comes from listening to your body and meeting it where it is at, not where you wish it were. Remember what you do to bring peace to yourself, brings more peace to the world. You matter!

Our first "Weaving Webs of Connections" monthly series gathering ended up being a meditation and tea because of the rain. So I thought I would try again for a walk around the lake before the weather gets too cool for some.

My focus this year is weaving webs of connection. A smaller space means smaller class sizes, but also more intimacy and opportunity for connection with your fellow yogis before and after class if you desire.

The theme, day/time and gathering location for this series will change each month so keep your eyes peeled to my schedule!

This new series is an opportunity to get to know your fellow yogis better or to meet new yogis from different classes. When you meet someone from a different background and different experiences it can be powerful to hold space for someone and listen to their story. We often discover that we have way more in common than we may realize. Remembering that our truths and other people's truths do not need to be the same to treat each other with love, kindness, and respect. Chat suggestion cards will guide the conversation and Oracle cards can be pulled for some deeper guidance as we traverse through these times together. We are stronger when we take the time to find common ground. Finding unity in diversity is so powerful! The path is through the heart.

For this gathering we will meet at my house and take a walk around my lake to move our energy together. The walk is just over 2 miles around and hills are involved. The pace will be moderate. The terrain varies from dirt road to paved. We will be walking on quiet side roads and a main road (Bungay Hill Rd.) briefly. At the end of our walk we will gather at the beach down the road from my house and do some standing stretches and breath work. Back at my house we will sip tea and chat.

Please bring your own travel mug/cup if you remember. I will have mugs here if you forget yours though.

This series is FREE and will require pre-registration as I am going to keep this to 8 people for now so we can all have a chance to enjoy each other's company without being too overwhelmed and I will have space for everyone in my living room following our walk.

We will be leaving from my house promptly at 10. Please arrive 5-10 early to park and use the bathroom if you need to.
