“Flow Yoga, or “Vinyasa Flow” combines a series of flowing postures with rhythmic breathing for an intense body-mind workout. In Vinyasa classes postures are linked together in a continuous and challenging flow and the common thread is a breath-synchronized movement that develops strength and flexibility while keeping students on the move. This style of yoga is a derivation of the practice of Ashtanga Yoga, a challenging and disciplined series of poses designed to create heat and energy flow. The many benefits of this class include building upper body strength, detoxification, mental and physical balance, flexibility, and stamina. Yin Yoga
Postures are restful and held for long periods of time, up to 4 minutes. The long, passive holds activate the parasympathetic nervous system (our rest and digest system), and work to soften and stretch our deepest layers of tissue, the fascia. This is in contrast to the work done by the muscles in more dynamic practices like Ashtanga and Vinyasa.

The key benefits of practicing Yin yoga include increased flexibility, released tension, and the ability to achieve a mindful relaxed state. Yin is such a wonderful break from our fast-paced lifestyles. This class encourages the student to slow down and be aware of one’s stillness.

Yoga Nidra
Nidra means “conscious sleep,” and is described as the mental state between wakefulness and sleep. Students lay on their backs and are guided through a methodical relaxation series. As mental and physical rest begins, students are invited to give themselves a positive affirmation or suggestion to meditate on throughout the exercise. The class ends in blissful, relaxed silence.

This disciplined practice covers the full Ashtanga Primary Series, a dynamic, fast-paced series of sequential postures transmitted by yoga master Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. Each pose is linked to the next through a series of connecting movements called vinyasa, allowing the body to create heat and leading to more flexibility. Smooth, deep breathing (ujjayi) is synchronized with the movements. You will learn some key postures from each of the main groups including standing poses, forward and back bends, twists, sun salutations, seated poses, and simple inversions.
