Fanta Waterman
Grateful for how the principles and practice of yoga have influenced her personal experiences as well as her leadership journey, Fanta believes that yoga principles and practice can help with reflection, strength and resilience-building, and incorporates this ideology into her work with social entrepreneurs and health leaders as well as her yoga students. With over 500 hours of registered training with the Yoga Alliance and holding a Master of Public Health in Community Health Education and a PhD in Public Health, Dr. Fanta Waterman is a clinical assistant professor in Public Health Leadership and consultant to healthcare organizations aimed at increasing community access and representation in healthcare evidence, literature, and leadership.
Her teaching style incorporates hatha, vinyasa, pranayama and meditation and invites students to a physical practice that is interesting, empowering and trauma-informed. Fanta is committed to expanding access to yoga to underexposed communities and provides vocal instructions and alignment cues during class to support focus and intuition in students’ practice, and build resilience.

This all-levels chair yoga series supports remote workers and individuals across a spectrum of mobility. Each 45-minute session targets posture, breath, core strength, and balance/flexibility—building awareness and strength through accessible movement and mindful breathing.
Yogis are asked to sign up for all 4 weeks to ensure a core group and that all students gain a depth of practice to take with them.
