Hatha Yoga - Slow & Strong

This is a practice for those who understand that true strength is not rushed.

Rooted in traditional Hatha Yoga, this 60-minute class unfolds at a measured pace, inviting precision, restraint and depth. Postures are held long enough to reveal their intelligence, allowing strength to build not only in the body, but through the breath, the mind and the subtle energetic field.

Classical asana is paired with intentional pranayama to elevate prana and support immunity, nervous system regulation and inner coherence. The practice asks for presence rather than performance - an ability to stay, to feel, and to respond from within.

Expect steady heat, deliberate transitions and spacious pauses. Muscular effort is balanced with energetic containment, cultivating a strength that is integrated and sustainable.

This class is best suited to experienced students who value traditional foundations, subtle awareness and the quiet discipline of moving slowly. A willingness to meet sensation, refine attention and work skilfully with breath is essential.

You’ll leave feeling grounded, clear and deeply resourced - strong in a way that continues long after practice ends.

Our Bliss Out class includes:
- Movement (Asana) and Breathwork (Pranayama)
Our movement is focussing on strengthening and mobility.
Our breathing is focussing on clearing and stabilizing the mind.
- Meditation will be taken laying down and typically be a body scan for deeper mind body connection.

Rooted in the balance of sun and moon, yin and yang, this Hatha Yoga class in East Maitland offers a steady, grounding practice to bring harmony to body and mind. Through a blend of standing and seated postures, you’ll build strength and flexibility while supporting the balance of your nervous system.

Expect a thoughtful sequence of asana (movement) to cultivate stability and resilience, breathwork (pranayama) to bring clarity and calm, and guided stillness to restore inner balance.

This practice is ideal if you’re seeking Hatha Yoga in the Hunter Valley, a class that nurtures both strength and softness, or a way to connect more deeply with your own natural rhythm. Each session is an invitation to return to centre - balanced, clear, and renewed.
