Come experience and learn about different yoga styles, including hatha, flow, power yoga, yin yoga, somatic yoga and many others. Each week we will focus on and explore one particular style of yoga and breathing technique.
THIS WEEK:
In a slow flow, poses are linked together with mindful breath, and transitions between poses are unhurried. The emphasis is on fluidity, but with time for deeper exploration of each posture in comparison to a traditional vinyasa class. There is also a strong emphasis on mindfulness and body awareness, inviting you to be present in the moment, tapping into your parasympathetic system as you reach a meditative state. The challenge of this class will be to combine slow, deep breathing as we transition smoothly and with body awareness through poses.
