We werken in 5 lessen rond een thema, we groeien doorheen 5 zondagen.

5 zondagen na elkaar zal Agata hier dieper op ingaan:

Healthy ‘back’ with yoga!

In deze nieuwe reeks van 5 zondagen Hatha Yoga focussen we ons op de rug.
Mensen zijn gemaakt om rechtop te staan en niet om te zitten.
Ook onze beenspieren verzwakken als we veel en langdurig neerzitten. Om nog niet te spreken over de vele rug-en heupklachten die we ondervinden door het vele zitten.
In deze reeks maken we onze rugspieren sterker waardoor de rug terug flexibel aanvoelt en de pijn verdwijnt.

On the third series we will put focus on our back. Having a healthy and strong back is a must, if we want to keep our body moving smoothly during life. That’s why it is so important to stretch and strengthen our back. Because then we can provide a bigger range of movement and also prevent pain or injury.
A healthy spine is a luxury today. Research shows that more and more people complain about back pain. Not only the older people suffer, but also the young. The World Health Organization (WHO) announces that back problems are one of the most common reasons for visiting the doctor and being absent from work. This is because we do less and less sports and spend more and more time sitting. We are sitting at work and at school. We also sit at home, in front of the computer or TV. And the truth is that the sitting position, although it seems comfortable for many people, is a real irritation for the back and exposes it to heavy loads.
Yoga is an effective way to both increase its flexibility and strengthen the back. The right yoga poses can help release back pain and also improve the correct posture. It is important to remember to keep our core engaged, while building flexibility in our back. This will help to prevent injuries and assure that we going into, holding and going out from the poses in a correct and healthy way for our back.
During this series we will stretch and strengthen our back muscles. The goal is to make our spine more flexible, we will develop the correct body posture, get rid of stiffness and discomfort and finally we will prevent the return of the back pain.
