Description
Elements of traditional Hatha yoga combined with the flow of vinyasa yoga in a hot room. There will be an emphasis on alignment and breath control. Kirsty will teach a balanced practice for strength, flexibility and mindfulness. The heat will help the body detoxify and help with circulation. Suitable for students of all levels of experience.
Important Information to know when coming to our Hot Yoga Classes:
Drink plenty of water so that you arrive fully hydrated It is always better to be hydrated well before class than to drink a lot in the actual class as this can make you feel sick.
Don't practice on a full stomach Practicing on a full stomach or very empty stomach may make you feel nauseous or faint.
Go easy for your first class. You need to get used to the heat so take breaks when you need to.Sit down if you feel faint or nauseous and focus on your breathing.
What to bring
A yoga mat- we do have mats you can borrow but please clean after use.
Bring a towel. You may want a yoga mat towel.
A large bottle of water.
Wear light clothing that you can move in and your skin can breathe i. Make sure you have layers for leaving class as you will cool down quickly.
People with certain medical conditions, such as heart disease, diabetes or high blood pressure, or those who are pregnant may need to exercise caution or consult a doctor before practicing hot yoga.
