Description
Most injuries that can occur in yoga can be prevented. We will go through the most important anatomical aspects for a sustainable yoga practice. The focus will be on dynamic yoga, but the content can be applied to most forms of yoga and exercise. Concrete tips are promised!
Sara Alenius is Leg. Physiotherapist, MSc, and authorized Ashtanga yoga teacher at SYC (KPJAYI). Sara encountered yoga as a teenager after many years of martial arts training. After graduating, she moved to India to further her yoga studies. She lived in Mysore, the capital of Ashtanga yoga, ran a yoga café and practiced for R. Sharath Jois. Since her time in India, she has continued to study yoga, meditation and philosophy and trained as a physiotherapist. She experiences that yoga and anatomy enrich each other in both directions and she weaves them together in her yoga classes and through her courses in anatomy from a yoga perspective.
