Description

MediYoga is a Swedish developed therapeutic form of yoga that suits everyone. MediYoga was established and developed by Göran Boll at the Institute for Medical Yoga in Stockholm. It has its origins in Kundalini Yoga and started to take shape in 1998 when an initial partnership project was launched with the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm. Many different studies have been undertaken since then involving MediYoga and its effects on various patient groups and medical disorders in general. Many studies show that MediYoga has positive effect when it comes to stress related disorders, back pain and insomnia.

MediYoga class consists of setting of different breathing techniques, gentle movements, mantras (sound vibrations) and meditations. It is an accessible yoga form that can even be practiced on the chair. The practice is soft and meditative yet powerful. Regular practice has deep impact on both mind and body.
