Description
With Hatha yoga, you move your body slowly and deliberately into different poses that challenge your strength and flexibility, while at the same time focusing on relaxation and mindfulness.
Hatha yoga places special emphasis on controlled breathing and posture. Building core strength, which is key to good posture, is another important aspect of this type of yoga. Poses are usually held for several breaths before you move onto the next.
Hatha and Vinyasa yoga incorporate many of the same poses. The main difference is the pacing of the classes.
Vinyasa moves at a faster pace and requires greater breathing control than Hatha yoga.
Because it’s done more slowly and poses are held for longer, Hatha yoga allows for more stretching.
One way to sum up the differences is to picture Vinyasa yoga as a cardio workout and Hatha yoga as a stretching and flexibility workout.
Therese in inviting all levels of yogis to come and explore the world of Hatha with her.

COVID-19 GUIDELINES AT THE SHALA
With the new Covid-19 restrictions put in place in Skåne and other parts in Sweden we have decided to make a few changes to our previous guidelines.
We need your help to make it work so please read through the following measures before coming to class.
1. A maximum of 7 students in each class.
2. All yogis have to bring their own mat. NO EXCEPTIONS. We will not let you take class if you come without a mat. We do offer mats for sale (please note that we only have the more expensive ones in stock at the moment)
3. All classes will be taught without props. If you want to bring your own you are more than welcome. We encourage you to BRING YOUR OWN BLANKET to class. NO STUDIO PROPS WILL BE AVAILABLE.
4. NO HANDS-ON ASSISTING will take place
5. During class keeping a safe distance is no problem - BUT after class we have the problem that everyone exits the studio at the same time. We ask you to spread out and keep a MAXIMUM OF 3 PEOPLE in the changing room at a time.
Work together and KINDLY remind each other.
Keep in mind that it is easy to forget. Stay loving.
6. Wash your hands before and after class - hand sanitizers are available inside the studio. Please use them. If possible shower before class.
7. Stay home if you feel the slightest sick. Stay safe and healthy.
Thank you so much for understanding and for being such a beautiful community. We surely have created something special together. Let's keep up the good work and hopefully we can harvest the fruit soon. We can't wait to hug you all again.
These stricter rules will be in place for a minimum of 3 weeks starting 30/11.
Love, peace & harmony

This is a one-on-one session that needs to be booked one day in advance
We respond to and enjoy life more fully when we regularly de-stress and re-balance. A way to achieve this is through sound and vibration; a unique method using Singing bowls to calms the nervous system and counteract stress.
A sound massage session takes one hour including initial conversation. You lay on a massage bed wearing comfortable clothing. The specially tuned Tibetan bowls are carefully placed on, and around your body whilst Eva Lena softly and rhythmically tap the bowls with a felted stick. The harmonious sound that arises travel deep down into the body, loosening up tension in muscles, organs and joints. The sound massage paves the way for deep relaxation, recovery and brain rest and thus activates the body’s power to self-regulate and heal.
Price: 550kr
Eva Lena is a certified Peter Hess Sound Massage practitioner. A method developed by the German engineer, Peter Hess, with many years of clinical studies in Germany. Adapting ancient Eastern knowledge about sound and rhythm and their beneficial effects on the body, mind and soul, to the needs of western societies, he founded a method, confirmed by modern medicine, that contributes to strengthening and supporting the self-healing powers we all hold.

Yoga by the Sea - Studio Mölle, Sound Room

Description
This is a one-on-one session

Description
Tin's classes are soft and calm with a focus on grounding the body and landing in the breath to open up and replenish energy.
Yinyoga
In yinyoga, you let your muscles relax completely. You stay in each position for several minutes and at the same time practice conscious presence. When you do, the fascia, the connective tissue, will soften. When stiff, it prevents you from moving.
Each position is held for a 3-5 minutes, which gives us time to calm the mind as well. In yinyoga we want to access the body's fascia, connective tissue, instead of the muscles. This is achieved by not going so deep in the stretch and instead holding the position for a long time. Great focus is on the area around the hips and lowerback. These are especially rich in connective tissue and, according to yoga philosophy, store a lot of physical as well as emotional tension. The important thing is not how the position looks but how it feels.
Yinyoga is suitable for anyone who wants to stretch, relax and train focus and presence. It´s a very calm form of yoga. Everyone is welcome, you do not need any previous knowledge.

Description
This workshop gives you the opportunity to deepen your understanding of the mechanisms of backward bending. You will learn techniques that help to open and strengthen the body and in a safe way backbend without pain or discomfort.
You will get tips on how to strengthen your back, legs and torso muscles for increased health and well-being in everyday life.
Bending backwards requires increased mobility and strength in the spine with surrounding muscles. Backward bends automatically brings the focus to the back but in reality backbends is a stretching of the front of the body.
In everyday life we sit a lot, slouching shoulders, bending forward and rounding our backs. The front of the body thus becomes
compressed, as well as our ability to breathe properly. Our torso muscles weaken and our spine also becomes negatively affected - poor posture, the spine loses flexibility, we get back pain and difficulty to breathe deeply.
In Ashtanga yoga's first and above all second series, the yoga practitioner is introduced to back bends that open the shoulder area, chest / thoracic spine, hip flexors etc. Through regular exercise of the positions from these two series our body will become more balanced. The muscles in the torso are strengthened and stretched and we create better support for a healthy spine and it will become easier to breathe for the yogi.
In a playful way Isabella has composed a vinyasa class, that effectively will explore a number of asanas (positions) from
basic to more advanced level. The workshop is open to everyone but it is of advantage to have some previous yoga experience as well as an open and curious mind.
The number of places is limited, pre-registration through Momoyoga is required.

Isabella Nitschke is the owner and manager of Ashtanga Yoga Malmö based in southern Sweden where she runs a daily Mysore programme. She found yoga more than 18 years ago following a running injury and the practice has since helped her heal on many levels. Isabella has Sharath Jois’ blessing to teach the primary and intermediate series of Ashtanga Yoga and has assisted him twice at the main shala in Mysore. She returns to India regularly to practice, study and to further develop her chanting skills and studies of yoga philosophy and Sanskrit.
Isabella is also a qualified yoga therapist for mental health, a lifestyle coach and relaxation therapist. She has devoted much of the past ten years to study and explore the effects of yoga on our nervous system and our mental health - in particular how the practice can help increase our resilience to stress and ability to self-regulate. Her teaching style is inclusive and aims to create a safe space for all students. She follows a gentle approach with particular focus on breath to cultivate sensitivity and awareness of the body and mind. Isabella has over 20 years of experience from working in health and fitness worldwide and has studied both anatomy and movement mechanics extensively.
Prior to teaching yoga Isabella had a career in international politics which gave her the opportunity to live and work in many different countries and cultures. She speaks several languages fluently and is still very engaged in human and women’s rights which was her primary field of work. Seva (karma yoga) is an important part of Isabella’s yoga journey and is engaged in the work of several charities such as V-Care and Odanadi.

Description
The purpose of all yoga is to calm the mind - Yoga citta vritti nirodah. How we breathe affects how we think and how we feel. If we breathe inadequately or irregularly, we do not achieve focus (dhyana) or control (bandha body lock). Inadequate breathing is also often a contributing cause or signal of stress / ill health.
The workshop focuses on the importance of breathing in our asana training as well as for our everyday health. We explore different breathing techniques both in motion and stillness with the aim of improving your relationship to your breathing. You will also be introduced to the basics of root and stomach locks - Mula and Uddiyana bandha - how these are linked to breathing and positions.
This gives you a deeper understanding of your yoga practice. The class ends with a guided relaxation.
The class is open to all levels of yoga practitioners.
The number of places is limited, pre-registration through Momoyoga is required.

Description
Prana Flow is developed from ashtanga yoga and is based on soft movements and finding flow in both breathing and movements. A Prana Flow class is a dynamic type of yoga where different positions are linked together in a thoughtful way. The movements are synchronized with the breathing to create presence and deepen the positions. The sun salutation is usually included and is part of the warm up.
It is a fun, invigorating and varied way to practice yoga where great emphasis is placed on the music.
Prana Flow is developed by the American yogi Shiva Rea. Shiva was an ashtanga yogini and a teacher of ashtanga yoga for about 15 years.
