September 14, 2025 •
7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Heathcote & Star, 344 Grove Green Road
Tarin Heaton-Heather
Description
Join for an unusual restorative yoga session where the emphasis is on discovery of your own needs, learning the language of your body and letting your body speak to you and guide you.
We all carry tension patterns in different ways and different places, so there will not be a set sequence of postures. You will be guided into deep restful states and learn to listen your bodies needs, to then to respond as the basis for the postures you take. This means that the postures your find yourself in will; likely be entirely different from everyone else, as each of us take our own individual journey through the body.
Rather than being told how to move your body, the guidance will be based on how to bring attention to sensation, so that your practice becomes a dialogue with yourself.
The postures will be long held, between 2-5 minutes to let each part your choose to work with, be felt into, released and let go, before progressing to the next posture.
Most of the session you will have the option for eyes closed or even blindfold, and you can ask for extra pressure or body work to help release where you need to.
We will close together in savasana.
