Grace of Vinyasa
Description
The beginning of the class will allow you to create a space for reconnection with your inner Self through opening meditation and pranayama (breath extension), which should remain as a part of your practice for the rest of the session. Towards the end, you can expect a grounding sequence in order to slow down the breath and reflect on your experience on the mat.
This session is truly for everyone, all genders, ages and abilities.
The slow and graceful pace of the class will help you to learn how to listen to your body and gain the strength, not just physically, but mentally in the first place.
Everyone in this class is usually encouraged to use the yoga props along with trying many adjustments which are always offered to take in order to explore our boundaries and find the edges.
This Yoga practice is about quieting the fluctuations of the mind and creating a relationship with our mind, rather than being constantly in a separation and uncontrollable fight inside. Through the conscious and mindful movements along with a breath, you will be guided to stay present and take most of the experience off the mat into your daily life.
Every session is a different experience.

Tai Chi with Adrian Ling
Description
What is tai chi ?
Perhaps the black and white pattern in a circle like 2 fishes chasing each other or yin and yang comes to one’s mind. …….
“ Si Liang Bo qian Jin “ is a Chinese saying : using 4 ounces strength to move a 1000 pounds weight. This saying is frequently heard in Tai Chi classes around the globe.
This concept is not about one’s size, or even if your opponent is stronger than you are. It is about using tai chi concepts in practical life application.
With this concept we are dealing with “live weight” or moving object, and by applying leverage. But using mind and intent and NOT force.
_
My name is Adrian Ling, I learned tai chi when I was young, from the old master back in Malaysia. I began to take tai chi more seriously for the last 5 to 6 years. And been teaching in community centres, libraries and among friends and families.
I like to introduce the basic tai chi and qi gong to our community, both for wellness and physical health .
We will be working towards learning forms. Eg. Yang style 8, 16, 24, 32 forms.
Or Chen style 18 forms.
These will come to light more when we are physically there. The forms are the building blocks of tai chi.
And tai chi can be translated as : The supreme ultimate.

Book now for this session to explore movement and breath from a new angle.

Nidra & Sound | Gongs / Singing Bowls / Synths & Trance: A Collaboration - Basia / Bifmode / Frequency Diagnostics
Description
An evening of gently and slowly arriving into stillness to be immersed into a liminal space journey through guided Nidra and sound.
Collaborating on this series with Basia is musician, Dave Franklyn on synths, and Sound Healer, Alex Stevens on crystal bowls and gongs.
Dave and Alex bring their collection of instruments along with singing bowls, crystal bowls and gong to perform a traditional sound bath over a bed of sine wave frequencies designed to directly correlate with the meditative guidance from the voice of Basia and the sounds of the synth.
Yoga Nidra is also known as yogic sleep but is in fact a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping in which the body and mind are fully relaxed and which is conducive to emotional and physical healing. It works by following a guided relaxation and is an effective tool for deep rest and connection. Yoga Nidra can help to improve sleep, reduce stress and anxiety, help us to centre ourselves and find the truths hidden within our hearts.
This session is an explorative collaboration and will evolve over time.

Integral Wake Up
Description
According to Sri Aurobindo, all life is Yoga, while Yoga as a sadhana (disciplined and dedicated practice or learning) is a methodised effort towards self-perfection, which brings to expression the latent, hidden potentialities of being. Success in this effort unifies the human individual with the universal and transcendental Existence. Integral yoga reunites "the infinite in the finite, the timeless in the temporal and the transcendent with the immanent.

Primal Movement Flow
Description
During this session we ask ourselves "what would I be like if I had never sat in a chair or been able to get my food from walking around a busy supermarket. What would my body feel like if I had to run, climb and move just to survive".
This session is a discovery session, with yoga as the key vehicle. Balance, strength in posture and finding new movement patterns.
Special Notes: Set around vinyasa, expect some workshop moments and non-yogic movements.
You may sweat.

Nād Yog (the Yoga of Sound) - Becoming “Kīrtan” with Kiran SKG Cancelled
Description
Containing breathing, meditations, mantra, voice activation, as well as essential physical practices as a means to activate and prepare the system for deeper experiences. Everything in this session works towards building a relationship with the subtle rhythms and melodies of life itself, helping to become our own Guru.
Based on Gurmat traditions, engaging and unifying the body, mind and energy, this is a participatory workshop, taking the act of listening from cerebral intellect to inner knowing in order to explore dimensions within, towards the goal of emotional and mental self-mastery.
Breath is highly important to yoga practices as it is the source of prana (vital energy) for the body and can be harnessed as the bridge to connect the mind and the body together. Sound yoga comes from the concept of “Ek Onkar” the primordial vibration AUM - a resonance which exists in all as manifested oneness. These sessions with Kiran help you to connect with omnipresence through voice, bansuri (bamboo flute), and dilruba (bowed sitar).

Serpentine Flow with Christina Deva & Tolga Tres
Heathcote & Star, 344 Grove Green Road
Serpentine Flow with Christina Deva & Tolga Tres
Description
An evening where we come together to dive into our subtle body, allowing ourselves—through free-flow movement and dance—to transform, explore the potential of our embodied motions, and release preconceived notions. Through this surrender, we ignite the inner alchemical process of our being, embracing the vastness of possibilities that reside within us.
About the Flow
We will begin by tuning into our bodies through Kundalini breathwork and embodied visualization, preparing ourselves to enter a state of deep surrender to sound, music, and intuitive movement. Our bodies become vessels for expression, allowing the transmutational process to unfold naturally.
You are encouraged to listen deeply and embody the visions you experience throughout the sonic journey. Think of movement as a direct expression of feelings and energies beyond words—an exploration of self. Imagine yourself as a being of infinite potential, consciously inhabiting your human vessel and experimenting with all the ways your infinite essence can manifest into the physical realm through your own cosmic dance.
As we move together, we aim for a collective flow state. Whether our approach is internal or externally relational, we honor each other's journeys, seeing our gathering as a symbiotic, breathing organism—each part intricate and unique.
To close, we will integrate our journey with a meditative sound bath, followed by a closing circle, where we unite our forces and intentions.
About the Music
Our journey will be guided by an immersive and eclectic selection of world music rarities, tribal psychedelia, ambient, hypnotic/deep techno, psytrance, fourth world, and shamanic electronica. The venue is equipped with a surround Funktion-One sound system, ensuring a fully immersive sonic experience.
As lovers of the mystical portals that music unfolds and the refined sonic qualities we cherish, we are thrilled to embark on this journey with you—traversing the spectrum of sound, from ancient roots to futuristic expressions, connecting humans through states of collective ecstasy.
Practical Information
Dress comfortably and in layers
Bring snacks to share for the social gathering afterward (optional)
This is a sober event – no alcohol or drugs, please!
About the facilitators
Tolga Tres
Tolga Tres is a musician/ sound journey facilitator / DJ & visual artist. He has been part of Istanbul and London’s musical scenes for over ten years performing with a variety of bands as well as his solo musical outlets. He is the co-founder of Holon Records, an independent label with an emphasis on Ambient & Tribal Electronica.
Both as a facilitator and explorer of music & movement medicine, he is passionate about the transcendental and transformative qualities of sound. Drawing from a wide yet focused palette of electronic and ethnic music—including his homeland of Anatolia and various ancient world traditions—he channels the essence of musical mysticism. A lifelong student of sound and vibrations, he weaves cosmic rhythms and soundscapes into his practice and performances.
Christina Deva
Christina Deva is a Greek vocal based musician and artist, interested in raw and unfiltered expression, and the power of transformation through the voice.
Throughout her life, aside from music, Christina had been a trainee teacher of Kundalini Yoga, a graduate of a bachelor degree in contemporary fine arts, and a danceopheliac, adopting an inquisitive approach towards all forms of embodied and voiced direct expression.
She views music and voice as a collaboration with collective consciousness, and forces beyond human, sentient beings of the many worlds interwoven with our current earthly existence. In the voice resides the history of humanity, the history of the soul from the endless beginning. Through multiple and intricate ways, the voice of the one becomes the voice of the many.
Through her music, Christina Deva aims to be a mirror of transpersonal metaphors that reflect the horrifying beauty of being alive.
Vocalising is perceived as a surrender of the human vessel, through which the spirits flow, morph and transmute, where gender dissolves, where age dissolves, where there is no distinction between the ugly and the beautiful, the darkness and the light.

Surf Club: SUNSET SURF SESSION at Yoga in the Stars

Surf Club: SUNSET SURF SESSION at Yoga in the Stars
Description
The NEW Yoga in the Stars sister project, Surf Club.
London city surf lessons and trip club, focused on connecting with the ocean through the powerful medium of surfing. The sessions will explore the intersection between yoga and surf, and create space to build muscle and muscle memory to help you dance with the ocean.
As we get into Surf Club at Yoga in the Stars the hope is that you are transported into a journey of discovery that leads you to the ocean and the land where the sun sets.
We will be playing with body-based practice, the carving, your stance, your alignment, your balance and your fluid motion. And which parts of the body to strengthen, stretch and mobilise.
But we will also be exploring the Ocean as a powerful teacher, and the deep mystic realisation of what you are doing whilst riding waves - riding gifts from storms generated thousands of miles away. The act of riding wild giant vibrations.
We will also explore breath holds / pranayama, the mind control concepts during the wipeouts, and doing the preparatory work for you to land in the ocean and feel at home.
And you will learn how to understand the ocean, the meteorological knowledge to watch for storms and predict swell.
And we can share a little about the spirit of the culture.
And we will be doing road trips and last minute get aways to the ocean where you can feel the sheer thrill of all that you learn as you take it to the water.
Sharing the pure joy and elation that comes with riding giant vibrations as at sunset.
