Yoga Sutra 1.2 says:
yogaś citta-vṛtti-nirodhaḥ
"Yoga is the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind.”
In this state, the ripples of distraction settle. The mind becomes a clear lake, reflecting truth without distortion. This is the essence of yoga: not escape from life, but returning fully to life, gathered and integrated.
This practice will help you calm the fluctuations of the mind, with focus on the breath, and asanas that help us let go and also center.
