Description

The ashtanga vinyasa system is based on linking breath, movement, gaze and energetic locks. Every pose originates and essentially ceases in samasthitih. A traditional led sanskrit counted class not only provides meaningful ways to "review" the vinyasa count (and how to get in and out of a state of a pose), harnessing focus during transitions , while experiencing a state of synchronicity as all move and breath as one, experiencing a profound unity inside and out. While providing the traditional sanskrit count, these classes also give precise technical instructions on actions for every in-and exhale associated with the vinyasa, thus, you may regard this class also as a technical talk through, which will help you for your Mysore style and home practice. The class is suitable for all practicing ashtanga yoga, at least until purvottanasana. If you do not practice Full Primary yet, you follow the led class until the pose you practice in your normal practice, then you can either observe (and join back in at backbends) or repeat some of your previous poses (and join back into the count at backbends) - ask me for any questions herein. We will start each led class with a gentle pranayama and meditation.
