I am Megan, the founder + teacher here at Inner Haven. I created this space from my own healing journey—one that taught me the power of slowing down, listening inward, and allowing the body to guide the way. For a long time, I searched for places that felt truly safe… spaces where I didn’t have to perform, fix, or push—just simply be. When I found somatic practices, restorative yoga, and trauma-informed work, something shifted. I began to soften. I began to return to myself. And in that returning, I felt a deep calling to share this work with others. This studio is born from that intention: to offer a space where we can land gently, breathe deeply, and be held in community. A space where nervous systems can feel safe, where healing is allowed to unfold naturally, and where no one has to do it alone. It’s my honor to hold this space for you.

Description

This grand opening class is a gentle invitation to slow down, rest, and feel at home in your body. The pace is unhurried, the movements are simple, and the focus is on comfort, safety, and ease. This class is open to all levels, including beginners and those new to yoga or somatic practices.

We’ll begin with a soft arrival to help you settle into the space and feel supported. You’ll be guided through gentle breathing and awareness practices to help your nervous system calm and your body relax.

Next, we’ll move into slow, easy somatic movements. These are small, mindful movements designed to help release tension and build a sense of safety and connection in your body. Nothing is forced, and you’re always invited to move in a way that feels right for you.

The heart of the class is long-held restorative yoga poses. Using bolsters, blankets, and other supports, your body will be fully supported so you can rest without effort. Poses may include supported child’s pose, reclined rest, side-lying relaxation, and legs supported on a chair or wall.

We’ll end with an extended guided rest and meditation, allowing everything to settle and integrate. The class closes slowly and gently, so you leave feeling calm, grounded, and cared for.
This class is about slowing down, being held, and experiencing the peaceful rhythm of Inner Haven.
Come as you are. Rest is welcome here.
