Description
Our vinyasa flow class is a mixed level dynamic class that synchronises movement and breath in a continuous flow of asanas (postures) including Sun Salutations. These classes are creative and fun, linking breath and movement together improving strength with flexibility while allowing individuals find alignment that works in their bodies. Classes are taught based on themes with backgrounds rooted in either Traditional Chinese Medicine or around the seasonal cycles of the Celtic wheel or around the Myths & Philosophies of the Ancient Indian principles. Weaving in elements from various styles of yoga and other mixed movement practices these classes focus on strengthening, building stamina, stability and bringing balance to the body & mind. Through this powerful connection of body & mind, these classes can help lower stress levels, promote health, flexibility & strength, and a feeling of well-being.
If you are pregnant, have a medical condition or a recent injury, it can be challenging to do certain types of yoga, specific poses, or breathing techniques so we recommended consulting with your doctor before beginning yoga.

Description
Originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Michael Cruz studied dance and theatre at Carnegie Mellon University in the United States. He is trained in jazz, multiple latin styles and stage performance.
Dance, if allowed to be, can be a magnificent tool for those looking to be ever more present. Although the traditional approach to meditation relies on the idea that calming the body calms the mind, Michael practices the direct connection between the mind, body and soul through the exploration of rhythm in order to reach a meditative state.
In this class, Michael will first facilitate the individual’s understanding of their own, unique body through stretching, and body part isolations. Then he will conduct several rhythmic exercises as a way of taking the mind out of the structure of rhythm and reaching a state of listening through the body. Finally, the group will make the connection between body movement and rhythm through active spatial explorations.
This class is not only a fun workout to latin music but also an opportunity to be fully present with others. Since Michael’s approach is not to teach the perfecting of any particular dance technique, the class is open to people of all skill levels.
The main goal of the class is to DANCE LIKE NOBODY’S WATCHING!

Description
Lead by guest teachers
A mindfulness class incorporating gentle movement, breathing techniques and guided meditation to help calm the mind, reduce anxiety and feel more at ease in life. We incorporate a variety of styles and meditation techniques each week using mantra, mudra, gentle movement, poetry, visualisation, yoga nidra and relaxation.
The intention of meditation practices is to develop clarity and to cultivate a quieter and more peaceful state of mind. In addition to helping us find calmness, these meditations also help improve feelings of well-being, happiness, and connection. Meditating is not all about stilling the mind and many people struggle with this concept. This is the biggest reason people think they can never enjoy the benefits of meditation. We will help you overcome this by breaking down these meditations into more manageable segments to help you begin to have a more enjoyable practice.
We arrive for practice in a quiet way and get settled in our seats. There will be time after class to discuss the meditation or to ask questions. Meditation props are provided however you may want to bring a blanket and wear cosy socks. These community classes are *free of charge and will be led by Niamh, Liam and guest teachers. *donations are welcome on the day which will go towards our local Saltmills & St.Kearns Community Group for community projects.
“When we bring our mind into our body, the body becomes mindful, and the mind becomes embodied” - Donna Farhi
As numbers are limited, please ensure that if you can't take the class you cancel your place ASAP to allow someone else the opportunity to take it.

Description
This is a light and creative slow flow class weaving in floor based yin postures and the flow transitions between poses are slower than our Vinyasa class. The more gentle and calming nature of this class is great for beginners, but is also great for intermediate and advanced students who feel like slowing it down and sinking deeper into their practice.
This is a lovely class for getting out of your mind and into your body combing both yin and yang styles not only working on the yin tissues in the body (connective tissues - ligaments, tendons and fascia) to help improve flexibility but also creating the feeling of space and freedom in your body and mind. You will leave feeling amazing! These classes are suitable for all levels.

To make the most of this session, try not to eat for at least 2 hours before the session - breathing with a full belly can be uncomfortable.
No alcohol or drugs within 48 hours of the workshop
Bring a blanket or towel to rest your head on for the breath work part and something to cover up your eyes like an eye pillow. We also have some that you can borrow or buy for €15.
Don't forget your swimwear and a pair flip flops or crocs can be handy for stepping in and out of the sauna.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR BREATHWORK:
Participants are responsible for their own health and wellbeing during a breathwork session. Breathwork is not a substitute for medical advice. If you have any medical conditions, you should consult your GP or healthcare provider first. You must inform us BEFORE the session if you have any of these conditions... Schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder or psychosis, PTSD, epilepsy, glaucoma, heart conditions or arrhythmia, COPD, pre-existing lung disease, high or very low blood pressure with a history of fainting or any recent major surgery or taking any medications or have any medical conditions or any stage of a pregnancy.
The breath is a powerful tool when we know how to use it. By taking part in this session, you take full responsibility for your own health and wellbeing. Thank you!
The guided movement and breathwork in the Tummo style will prepare the body for the cold water immersion. You'll be guided into the ice bath and then experience the wood fired sauna where you’ll sweat out your toxins and ease and relax into your body at the Secret Garden. An unforgettable experience that will leave feeling alive, happy and stronger in your mind and body.
