Emma earned her 200-hour certification from One Soul Yoga in 2023. She started her yoga journey at One Soul in 2021 and fell in love with the atmosphere of the studio and the benefits of yoga. She would love to provide those same feelings for others through her classes - creating a safe, judgment-free space to work on our practice. Her other passions are coffee, plants, and books. Her loves are her husband and her dogs!
Description
Get your week kicked off right with mindful movement and intention-setting in this 8:30am hatha yoga class. We'll match movement to breath and intention, building just enough heat, and spend time in some quiet, deeper stretches, as well. It's the perfect way to get your mind and body ready to tackle a new week.

Rachel (CYT 500) began practicing yoga in 2014 at Brick House Yoga in Sulphur Springs. She was training for a half-marathon at the time and wanted to use yoga to prevent injury and aid in stress relief to reduce migraine headaches. While a yoga practice was perfect for both of these goals, she found so much more on the mat. Without a doubt, the yoga mat is the first place she has ever experienced complete non-judgment. It is where she learned self-acceptance, presence and stillness--and it is where she started a journey of self-discovery that continues today. In short, yoga changed her life. She holds additional certification in Restorative, Yin and Trauma Informed Yoga and has a special interest in teaching body-positive classes and classes geared for beginners.

PLEASE NOTE TIME CHANGE--CLASS BEGINS AT 4:45 pm
Empower Hour will focus on working through traditional postures, seated and standing, by matching breath to movement throughout the practice. Class will start with slow centering techniques, including stress release and intention-setting, in order to get the most out of the practice and carry the benefit throughout the rest of our day/week. This class will move with intention incorporating poses that focus on larger muscle groups in controlled movements to build foundation and encourage grounding. This class is specifically designed to allow you to tap into your own power, mentally and physically. You will leave this practice feeling centered, encouraged, and ready to move in and through the world with confidence and strength, recognizing that you already have all that you will ever need, that you are enough. Clarice is a 200-RYT who earned her certification in 2023 at One Soul Yoga. She has practiced
yoga since 1990 in various locations across the globe and has attended and taught yoga retreats in Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, and overseas in Greece, Costa Rica, Germany, Sweden, Austria, and Italy. Clarice is skilled in Hatha Yoga, familiar with Yin yoga, and restorative yoga. In addition, Clarice holds certification as a Master Herbalist and is interested in Holistic Health and wellness. Clarice feels that yoga and meditation have given her the framework for a healthy happy life, and she enjoys the practice and teachings of yoga. Clarice wants to offer the mobility and flexibility benefits of yoga to everyone. Aging with full mobility and flexibility is a personal goal of hers.
Description
This class incorporates breath to body flowing sequences to move and warm the body, as well as slower paced movements focusing on alignment, strength, balance, and flexibility. Each class will end with an savanasa, an extended period of rest. This class is appropriate all levels. Variations and props will be offered to increase or decrease practice needs.

This shortened practice is a perfect way to boost your productivity and help get you through the mid-day slump. Practice always ends in savasana to bring you back to your center. ThursYay Yoga Flow is for anyone wanting a gentle vinyasa-style class to help maintain mobility and strength. This one-hour class is open to all skill levels and works through a full body flow moving from seated, standing and kneeling asanas. Students will increase stamina, balance and flexibility and while connecting mind, body and soul. This end of the week class ends in relaxing savasana to help you ready for the weekend ahead. Have just a few minutes to spare for yoga? Stretch & Flow Express is a shortened version of the 8:00 am class. This 40-minute mid-day class focuses mainly on deep stretching and slow-moving sequences held for several breaths to help loosen the body and reduce tension. The slower pace allows each individual to explore their own postures and alignment to deepen their practice. At times, class will explore meditation and aspects of yin and/or restorative yoga for relaxation and healing. Perfect for those looking to gain flexibility and range of motion. Class always ends in savasana. Stretch & Flow is suitable for all skill levels.

The vibrations of the forks carry deeply into the body and along energy pathways which are known to affect us mentally and physically. A tuning fork session is holistic in nature and may help address energetic imbalances, relax and de-stress the body, boost the immune system and stimulate mental and physical well-being.
During a chakra tuning fork session, we start with a basic chakra assessment and participant rests on a zero-gravity chair or massage table (fully clothed). Specially calibrated non-weighted forks and other sound instruments (such as singing bowls) are then used around and near the body to help remove blockages, release stagnant energy, and restore balance to the body’s energetic system. If participant wishes, DeAnna will discuss any results afterwards.
The benefits may include:
• Balance and alignment: By using specific frequencies associated with each chakra, sound therapy can help balance and align the energy centers, creating optimal flow of energy throughout the body.
• Stress reduction: The soothing vibrations produced by the tuning forks may induce a deep state of relaxation, helping to reduce stress, tension, and anxiety.
• Emotional well-being: Sound therapy is believed to have a profound effect on the emotions, helping to release suppressed feelings, trauma, and emotional blockages stored within the chakras.
• Physical well-being: Sessions may support physical healing by promoting relaxation, reducing inflammation, and stimulating the body’s natural healing processes.
• Spiritual growth: Sound therapy is often used as a tool for spiritual growth and self-discovery, helping individuals connect with their inner selves and higher consciousness.
Tuning fork sessions are not recommended for those that are pregnant, those with recent concussions, those with pacemakers/electrical medical implants or those on palliative care.

Every person has a unique experience with tuning fork sessions. Many find results after one session but most find more benefit from 3-5 sessions scheduled a few weeks apart. Please dress comfortably. Each session last between 45 minutes to one hour. After booking, you will receive an email with some information about your session and a waiver and questionnaire.

Active Flow is a vinyasa-based yoga class that links breath to movement. This faster-paced class helps move and work the body while building strength, stamina and balance. Active Flow is open to all levels—variations are suggested to help make this practice your own. Active Flow always ends in savasana to help bring the mind and body back to center.

DeAnna McDearmont is a co-owner of One Soul Yoga & Wellness Center in Sulphur Springs, TX and a dedicated Trauma Informed E-RYT 500, YACEP-certified yoga instructor, serving as the lead trainer for Yoga Teacher Training programs. She is a passionate yoga and sound facilitator dedicated to empowering others on their journey to wellness and self-discovery.
As a certified practitioner of Biofield Tuning and Sound Healing, she uses the transformative power of sound and energy to support profound release and shifts in the subtle body. For this practice, we’ll discuss energies and information surrounding the month’s full moon, we will practice a gentle releasing flow and enjoy a guided moon meditation with sound for savasana. We will finish with a burning ceremony to release any negative energies that stand in your way. This class is suitable for all levels. This is a free class and all are welcome. When weather permits, we will practice on One Soul’s outdoor platform.

Clarice is a 200-RYT who earned her certification in 2023 at One Soul Yoga. She has practiced
yoga since 1990 in various locations across the globe and has attended and taught yoga retreats in Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, and overseas in Greece, Costa Rica, Germany, Sweden, Austria, and Italy. Clarice is skilled in Hatha Yoga, familiar with Yin yoga, and restorative yoga. In addition, Clarice holds certification as a Master Herbalist and is interested in Holistic Health and wellness. Clarice feels that yoga and meditation have given her the framework for a healthy happy life, and she enjoys the practice and teachings of yoga. Clarice wants to offer the mobility and flexibility benefits of yoga to everyone. Aging with full mobility and flexibility is a personal goal of hers.

Join one of the One Soul instructors on Saturday morning for Saturday Flow to get your weekend moving. This class will vary each week depending on the instructor but will focus on a sequenced practice that encourages alignment, balance and mind/ body connection. This class will end in a relaxing savasana to help you release and connect within. Saturday Flow is appropriate for all skill levels and variations will be offered to increase or decrease your practice needs.
