Jennifer earned her 200-hour YTT certification from One Soul Yoga in 2023 and is excited to lead students on the mat. She has been practicing yoga off and on throughout her adult life and knows that when she practices yoga regularly, life just works better. Jennifer is grateful for the opportunity to provide students a nonjudgmental, encouraging, and fun environment for their practice.
Description
Empower Hour will focus on working through traditional postures, seated and standing, by matching breath to movement throughout the practice. Class will start with slow centering techniques, including stress release and intention-setting, in order to get the most out of the practice and carry the benefit throughout the rest of our day/week. This class will move with intention incorporating poses that focus on larger muscle groups in controlled movements to build foundation and encourage grounding. This class is specifically designed to allow you to tap into your own power, mentally and physically. You will leave this practice feeling centered, encouraged, and ready to move in and through the world with confidence and strength, recognizing that you already have all that you will ever need, that you are enough. The class is suitable for all levels, and modifications will be explained to allow for decreasing or increasing levels of practice.

While challenging, this certification training is rewarding—inspiring you to not only learn more about yoga, but learn more about yourself in the process. The 200-hour program is for those that have never completed a 200 hour training. It is the foundational training to become a certified yoga teacher.

We encourage our YTT students to immerse themselves into the training in order to develop confidence and bring their own voice and style to the mat. Whether you have plans to teach yoga or are simply taking this course to deepen your own knowledge to improve your own practice, you are right where you are supposed to be!

Rachel Finney
Rachel (CYT 500) began practicing yoga in 2014 at Brick House Yoga in Sulphur Springs. She was training for a half-marathon at the time and wanted to use yoga to prevent injury and aid in stress relief to reduce migraine headaches. While a yoga practice was perfect for both of these goals, she found so much more on the mat. Without a doubt, the yoga mat is the first place she has ever experienced complete non-judgment. It is where she learned self-acceptance, presence and stillness--and it is where she started a journey of self-discovery that continues today. In short, yoga changed her life. She holds additional certification in Restorative, Yin and Trauma Informed Yoga and has a special interest in teaching body-positive classes and classes geared for beginners.
Description
Take a pause in the middle of the week for Gentle Flow with Rachel. Enjoy an hour of seated twists, gentle stretches, intentional movement with breath and final resting pose, savanasa. Gentle Flow is a relaxing class perfect for all skill levels and those who want to work on mobility, balance and flexibility while finding ease in the body.

Variations of poses are given in each class to make our classes accessible regardless if you are new to yoga or more experienced. Our yoga studio is intentionally free of mirrors, encouraging you to focus on how your practice feels rather than how it appears. Your mat is your personal sanctuary, a space to connect with yourself and your journey.

Description
Get ready to move, strengthen, and flow in Active Yoga, a dynamic Vinyasa-based class designed to build strength, stamina, and balance through mindful movement and intentional breath. This class incorporates fluid sequences and powerful poses that challenge the body while enhancing mental focus and coordination.
Active Yoga is a practice that emphasizes movement, strength, and connection, offering benefits such as improved flexibility, increased endurance, better posture, and heightened body awareness. It's a perfect way to build resilience, relieve stress, and energize your body and mind.
The class concludes with a calming Savasana, allowing you to integrate the physical and mental benefits of your practice while finding deep relaxation. Step off your mat feeling strong, focused, and revitalized.
Emma offers Active Flow twice a week-on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 6 pm.
At One Soul, we believe yoga is for everybody and you do not have to be “bendy” or “stretchy” to practice. Our studio and instructors are from a trauma-informed lineage, which means we lead classes that nurture and challenge you in a safe and non-judgmental way.

Micki Fagan
Micki (RYT 200) is engaged, the mom of three teens and is currently a Special Education Aide at S.S.I.S.D. After teaching in the childcare setting for over 15 years, she realized something needed to change about how we
are addressing the behavior of kids nowadays. She started her own practice of meditation and inner child healing in January of 2020. And discovered that focusing inwardly is the first (and most important) step toward becoming a better teacher and parent. Introducing breath work, balance challenges, fun books and games to her students has improved their outlook in the classroom, on the mat, and out in the real world. “I want our children to feel a sense of community here, to be welcomed and
heard.” Obtaining her 200 hour certification from One Soul Yoga in 2023 has been one of the most monumental achievements of her life, because making a difference in the youth of today is her ultimate goal!
