Yin yoga works on releasing the connective tissue. Poses are generally held for 2 to 5 minutes with the support of blankets, bolsters, straps and blocks, which allows the tissue to relax and release, while simultaneously working on the energy meridians in the body.

Yin Yoga is a deeply relaxing class that works on the connective tissues and joints of the shoulders, hips, pelvis, and lower spine. Poses are generally held for 2 to 5 minutes to allow the muscles and tissues to slowly let go and release built-up tension. The class will finish with a 20 to 30 minute guided meditation.
