Come and hear the story of Durga – the warrior Hindu Goddess - as we join her in her battle against the demon Mahisha. Mahisha has been granted a boon (a gift) by the Gods, that he will not die at the hands of a male god or male human. He believes this means he cannot be killed since he thinks there is no woman powerful enough to overcome him. He thinks he’s invincible and in his righteous pride begins to lay waste to the world, taking control of every area of nature and culture. The gods turn to Durga for help. We'll join her in our yoga practice in this epic battle between good and evil.
