A vinyasa style yoga practice that focuses on hip mobility and body strengthening.

This is an Intermediate Level 2 class and is taught weekly by Liz Finkelstein.

TRY BOTH the 3 Bodies Movement & Lights Out!
1 hour of guided movement, 1 hour of free-form dance.

No need for prior experience in dance.

GUIDED MOVEMENT - using different tools to work with the physical body, mental/emotional body, and spirit with the hopes of creating unity in the individual and recognizing our relationship to other. The class is guided in theme but the movements are improvised. Finding your own interpretation of the story work will deepen our communication with our body and creative, intuitive self.

FREEFORM DANCE - class is followed by Lights Out, a freeform dance hour in a dimly lit room. This one hour freeform dance is a no talking, no shoes, dimly lit room, allowing a more introspective and uninhibited safe space to explore your moving body in rhythm and play.

Class is held in the La Posta Plaza across the street from Albertsons. The first building as you enter the parking lot, go through the first glass door and straight ahead is the space.

No need for prior experience in dance and other somatic practices.

The aim - to use different tools working with the physical body, mental/emotional body, and spirit with the hopes of creating unity in the individual and recognizing our relationship to other.

The how - Through visualizations, drawing, and creative movement play, the class is guided in theme but the movements are improvised. Finding your own interpretation of the story work will deepen our communication with our body and creative, intuitive self.

Class is followed by Lights Out, a freeform dance hour in a dimly lit room. You can come just for class or just for Lights Out, or stay the whole time and integrate the dance!

With your day on-mountain in mind, this class helps get you into your body, balance, and breath before you head out on the slopes.

An all-levels class beginning with SATYA floor work to lubricate joint space, hydrate connective tissues and soften into the cooling, alkaline earth. We play with strength in standing postures, and surrender in supported back arching and inversions. A new theme is presented each week. Suitable for all levels. Each week we explore different themes approaching the practice from the mental, emotional and physical body, weaving the practice on the mat into our daily life.

An intermediate level class to unwind and recharge. SATYA floor work to warm up, standing postures for strength and stability, invigorating back arching, and nourishing inversions will be included. A new focus is presented each week.

In Yin yoga postures are mostly passive in nature and are held for an extended amount of time, anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes depending on the asana. The intention to increase flexibility and decrease stress.

To grow our meditation toolbox, we explore different concentration techniques, pranayama (breathing techniques), restorative yoga postures to compliment the seated meditation, sound/music (meditation with singing bowls and bells), and Yoga Nidra (a guided relaxation lying down).

Each week is a little different with the intention to offer different tools that help clear and focus our mind and make the seated posture more comfortable.

This class is taught weekly by Liz Finkelstein

Yin Yoga is slow-paced style of yoga as exercise, incorporating principles of traditional Chinese medicine, with asanas (postures) that are held for longer periods of time than in other styles. Advanced practitioners may stay in one asana for five minutes or more. The sequences of postures are meant to stimulate the channels of the subtle body known as meridians in Chinese medicine and as nadis in Hatha yoga.

Flow Jams begins with breath work and a sincere warm up, followed by a slow but strong vinyasa flow that eases into an ample restorative session for dessert. All to music.

Some knowledge of yoga poses is helpful. This class is designed for yoga Level 1- Level 2 intermediate practitioners. But don't let that scare you - modifications and options will be provided.
