Finding compassion: Restorative Yoga and Metta Bhavana Meditation

This special class is organized around a shared value of yoga and buddhism: compassion. In the first half of the class, Carrie Ann will guide the group in a ~50-minute session of restorative yoga where we will move through poses that help us connect with the heart chakra just as it is. In the second half, Mirela will lead a ~30 minute Metta Bhavana Meditation that will deepen the feeling of loving kindness for ourself and others. We will close with a short talk about the meaning of compassion in our two traditions and their overlap.
