I started my yoga journey in college, drawn to how it helped me feel grounded and strong. I completed my Sculpt YTT with CorePower Yoga and began teaching in summer 2021. For the past four years, I’ve led classes that blend strength, mindfulness, and movement. In 2024, I completed the Strength X intensive, a format combining HIIT and strength training. I also founded Flowtastics—a wellness community, rooted in creating girlhood through yoga and events, supporting woman-owned businesses and nonprofits. Since fall 2024, I’ve hosted pop-ups across Boston, from rooftop flows to creative art-making and aerial silks. Additionally, I recently earned my Master’s in Counseling from Lesley University and have worked with kids for many years. I'm passionate about combining yoga and counseling to support youth well-being. Come to my class as I always love seeing new faces!

Sonia Basauri Lydon first discovered yoga in 1999 as a way to alleviate the severe back pain that was brought about from a lifetime of scoliosis. The therapeutic effects of yoga, and the overall balance that it brought about in her body, amazed Sonia, and from then on she was inspired to deeply pursue and evolve her yoga practice. Through teaching yoga, Sonia hopes to spread happiness and the desire for all to “live a beautiful life” – an ideal that she learned from her father, who always chose a path of joy and love for his own life. She is grateful to her teachers for their yogic wisdom, and to her family for helping her to find the beauty in life’s most unexpected places.

Yoga has been a steady support in my life since graduating college in the late 90s. I
began my journey with more athletic forms of yoga (Bikram, heated vinyasa). Then as I
moved through different stages of life (from pregnancy, to new mom, to now midlife) my
practice has shifted and evolved to include more restorative practices. My teaching
centers mental and emotional balance just as much as bringing more physical comfort
to your body. When I am not teaching, I am working one on one with clients in my
private yoga therapy practice in J.P.
My love for learning has led me to many certifications over the last 20+ years: 200hr
YTT from YogaSpirit Studios (2005), 500hr YTT from Barbara Benagh and 600hr Yoga

Inspired to explore yoga philosophy further, Christiana completed her 200 RYT through Yoga Renew in Hoboken, NJ. Running and swimming competitively for years, teaching elementary school, and chasing my 3 young kids around led me to my first yoga class about 10 years ago. I was constantly on the go and not very present for myself or those around me. Something in me kept bringing me back to my mat. I was beginning to become more aware of how yoga was the magic connection of the mind, body, and soul. Meditative breath work, focusing on strengthening postures, and enjoying the benefits of a restful savasana taught me how to steady myself on and off the mat. I kept going to yoga classes because I felt a shift after each class and I wanted and needed to keep feeling good! I was eager to deepen my practice and knowledge even further, therefore I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2022 and have been teaching all levels vinyasa flow yoga ever since! In addition to teaching adults yoga, I am also a certified children's yoga instructor. I love guiding people of all ages on their yoga journeys and meeting them wherever they are at on their mats!

Yin yoga works deeply into our body with passive, longer-held grounding poses, achieved mainly by laying or sitting on your mat. It targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues, ligaments, joints, bones, the deep fascia networks of the body. Yin yoga works on activating our parasympathetic nervous system which allows for restoration and healing to occur and therefore decreases stress and anxiety. It's wonderful for all levels, soothing music and the beautiful ambiance of candlelight glow create a relaxing space in which to practice.

Megan was born and raised in Massachusetts and currently resides here in West Roxbury. Megan has a background in elementary education and worked as a fifth grade teacher for 6 years at Carver Elementary School. Through her years working with students, she discovered her passion for mental health and became a school adjustment counselor in addition to practicing mental health counseling for adults. Megan now offers maternal mental health coaching to mothers at any stage. Megan has always been passionate about exercise and wellness, especially the practice of yoga. In 2021, Megan obtained her 200-hour yoga certification through Core Power Yoga in power yoga and yoga sculpt training. Yin is a style of yoga that focuses primarily on the connective tissues and fascia network of the body. Through an exploration of longer-held and generally passive postures, the yin yoga practice offers physical benefits such as joint mobility, restoration on a cellular level, and connecting to energy flow within the body. I received my 200 hour YTT certification through LifeTime Athletic in 2019 after practicing for many years and wanting to deepen my practice. Many people feel they aren’t good at yoga but I believe there is no good or bad way to “do” yoga. It’s not about flexibility or athleticism, although both of those will improve with yoga. It’s about connecting with yourself through breath and movement and calming your mind. The practice is just that, a “practice” and every class is a journey of self discovery and awareness. It all starts with coming to your mat and I hope to see you there!

I received my 200 hour YTT certification through LifeTime Athletic in 2019 after practicing for many years and wanting to deepen my practice. Many people feel they aren’t good at yoga but I believe there is no good or bad way to “do” yoga. It’s not about flexibility or athleticism, although both of those will improve with yoga. It’s about connecting with yourself through breath and movement and calming your mind. The practice is just that, a “practice” and every class is a journey of self discovery and awareness. It all starts with coming to your mat and I hope to see you there!

Description
LoriAnn’s classes offer a warm and inviting space for all practitioners to connect to themselves through asanas and stillness and always linked with breath. Students are encouraged to move at their own pace and to honor whatever they are feeling in the moment, to find their own edge, and to move mindfully. And of course to enjoy their time on their mat through exploration and self discovery and allowing for whatever is to be.

Running and swimming competitively for years, teaching elementary school, and chasing my 3 young kids around led me to my first yoga class about 10 years ago. I was constantly on the go and not very present for myself or those around me. Something in me kept bringing me back to my mat. I was beginning to become more aware of how yoga was the magic connection of the mind, body, and soul. Meditative breath work, focusing on strengthening postures, and enjoying the benefits of a restful savasana taught me how to steady myself on and off the mat. I kept going to yoga classes because I felt a shift after each class and I wanted and needed to keep feeling good! I was eager to deepen my practice and knowledge even further, therefore I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2022 and have been teaching all levels vinyasa flow yoga ever since! In addition to teaching adults yoga, I am also a certified children's yoga instructor. I love guiding people of all ages on their yoga journeys and meeting them wherever they are at on their mats!

Description
This class provides a combination of healthy alignment and the freedom to play within familiar and new poses. From beginners to those who have physical limitations, this class hopes to broaden the range of capabilities of each person through the instruction of alignment and breath while flowing through poses but always offering modifications for those newer or just starting their journey.

Denise Devaney
Denise is a lifelong learner of yoga. She began her journey in 1995 when she took her first class and was immediately was drawn back by the benefit of a quiet mind and a strong healthy body. Denise received her 200 RYA certification in Ashtanga Yoga in 2003 at The Yoga Studio in Newton. Denise also holds certification as a children’s yoga instructor with the Boston Public Schools and finds joy in sharing yoga with children. Denise became aware of the power of the mind-body connection and experienced the physical, emotional and spiritual benefits of the practice and wants to help others find the same.

I love blending grounding breathwork and invigorating vinyasa flows while also leaving ample time for bringing in reflection and meditation. Expect being invited to cultivate your own connection with your body, energy, mind, and to personalize your practice to your own intentions and goals.
