Your changing body and needs will be discussed between poses. There are no difficult or acrobatic poses during this class - only movements that are both gentle and safe for you and your baby.
The Yoga sling is another tool for preparing your mind, body, emotions and spirit for birth. You will learn how to:
- Listen to your body and stay true to yourself in every moment
- Be present
- Be kind to yourself
- Use the breath to ground and connect to your inner calm
At the end of the class there is a guided meditation and savasana in the Yoga sling, enabling you to melt away tension and connect with the sense of weightlessness. You will feel like you’ve exercised in a safe, conscious and effective manner.
No previous Aerial Yoga or Pilates experience required. All stages of pregnancy are welcome. If you have any pregnancy complains please let the teacher know.

You will be guided through a series of restorative poses, but also exercises that strengthen your core while helping your muscles let go of tension, ending with a moment of relaxation - being cocooned and completely supported in the sling in Savasana (which feels so good that many of our yoginis don’t want to leave!). Whether you have experienced aerial yoga or have never tried it before, we know you will love the relaxing meditative energy of our Fly Low class.

We’re happy to present a new class at Womanhood Studio: Friday Morning Meditations with Mel.
During the class, you will be guided through a 25 to 30 minute meditation to ground yourself, quieten your mind and reconnect to your inner peace. You can then take this inner calm with you throughout your day.
Meditations change every week and include breathing meditations, gratitude meditations, mantra meditations, loving kindness meditations, and more.
The class ends with a cup of tea and a healthy vegan treat: the perfect start to your Friday and weekend!
Suitable for experienced meditators and newbies!

Changing of your body and upcoming needs will be discussed in-between exercises, while being appropriately gentle and safe for you and your baby.
For prenatal use, our hammocks are just another tool preparing your mind, body, emotions and spirit for birth. No difficult or acrobatic poses should be expected like we would use the slings generally in a typical aerial yoga class.
You will practice to:
- Listen to your body, staying true to you in every moment
- Being present
- Being kind to yourself, and take deep breaths.
Added bonus: some guided meditation and savasana in the hammock, letting the sensation of weightlessness melt away your tension.
You will leave feeling like you truly worked your body, yet in a safe, conscious and effective manner.
No previous experience practicing Yoga or Pilates is required. Al stages of pregnancy are welcome.

In the Netherlands, it’s important to know about ‘the standard ‘ approach to pregnancy and birth from what you may be used to in your own country. But… don’t stress!
Getting the knowledge and leaning the techniques from this course will empower and support you and your partner in having the birth experience you most wish for.
Join us (from 3rd trimester; 28 weeks plus) in the historical city center of Delft. This course will not only be informational and practical, but also lots of fun!!
Subjects that will be covered:
– The physiology of birth, including all stages
– Positioning
– Pain coping techniques and options available
– Breathing
– Instinctive versus guided pushing
– Home versus hospital birth
– Birth planning
– Postpartum support and care
With involvement of your partner, continuous support and one-on-one guidance, you will most likely have an empowering, safe and joyful birth experience. These topics and more will be discussed during our course together.
