Description
Gentle Yoga: Very beginner friendly. We spend most of the class on our belly, back or seated (with props!). Our focus will be on honoring how we showed up that day, connecting with breath and coming into a sweet surrender with a 10 minute savasana. Depending on the energy of the class we may come to stand for a short period of time, connecting breath to movement. Options, props and stair-step variations are always offered!

Delia Sullivan
Delia has been teaching yoga for 14 years and practicing yoga for 18+ years. After practicing and teaching a Vinyasa-style class for many years, her passion for gentle and restorative yoga is now her primary offering. When she experienced the physical and emotional challenges of breast cancer in 2013, she relied on her home practice, Gentle and Restorative classes, during her recovery process. YOGA became an essential part of her healing and strength recovery. Having a steady yoga practice before cancer, she was better prepared to meet her challenge head-on. She is passionate about sharing yoga as a tool to expand one's life and encourage health, wellness, and creativity one pose at a time! She creates a light-hearted environment where she encourages students to think less and feel more!
Her 200hr training in 2010 included influences from the Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Viniyoga traditions. Delia is a native Alexandrian and loves practicing yoga outside, surrounded by nature, or on her Standup paddleboard any chance she gets.

Elena Velasco found yoga through her work as a theatre and movement artist. For over 25 years she has worked in the performing arts industry as a director, choreographer, performer, and professor in the DMV and Greater Boston regions. Through such companies as Synetic Theatre and Convergence Theatre, she found that the fullest creative expression and connection was the result of the synthesis of the mind-body-consciousness. Yoga has helped her craft choreography that is more sustainable and gives performers greater agency over their bodies. Yoga informs her work in all disciplines, whether leading a vinyasa class at Bowie State University where she is an associate professor of theatre and movement, or establishing a healthy, mindful rehearsal process for movement-based performance. She completed her 200-hour teacher certification at Rising Sol Yoga School and is a member of Yoga Alliance. She believes yoga and the arts must be accessible and is passionate about holding space for a range of students from diverse backgrounds, cultures, genders, and lived experiences. Along with her active professional life, she enjoys biking, hiking, and meditating, and is the proud mother of seven children, all who have various paths and passions.

Ayurvedic Spring Seasonal Routines for Wellness
Align with nature’s rhythm for health, balance, and vitality.
Step into the new Spring season feeling refreshed and renewed with the wisdom of Ayurveda, the ancient science of holistic well-being.
This interactive workshop explores how to harmonize your body, mind, and spirit with the changing energy of spring through the principles of Ritucharya — Ayurveda’s seasonal routines for balance and vitality.
As we move from winter’s heaviness into spring’s vibrant renewal, you’ll learn how to support your health by adapting your daily habits, nutrition, and self-care practices to the season’s unique qualities.
We’ll discuss the three doshas — Vata, Pitta, and Kapha — and how to maintain balance among these elemental energies to prevent seasonal imbalances such as sluggishness, allergies, or fatigue.
You’ll gain practical tools and personalized insights to help you feel lighter, more energized, and in tune with nature’s rhythm.
To bring the teachings to life, participants will also create their own Spring Seasonal Churna — a custom Ayurvedic spice blend designed to balance the elements of the season. This take-home blend can be added to meals or teas to gently support digestion, vitality, and overall well-being.
You’ll Discover:
- The Ayurvedic approach to seasonal living (Ritucharya)
- How to align your diet and lifestyle with spring’s qualities
- Practical self-care rituals for renewal and balance

No prior experience with Ayurveda or yoga is needed — just an open heart and curiosity about living in deeper harmony with nature.
Cost: $40
Monthly Mmeber Cost: $30

Cyndi Chu
I first discovered yoga as a high school cross country and track runner, and while I occasionally took
classes through college, I viewed it as a stretching practice. As an older adult I began to explore the
holistic aspects of yoga to supplement my interests in swimming, nature, and contemplative thought.
My perspective of yoga continues to evolve over time as an integrated expression of body, mind, and
spirit. I believe yoga should feel inclusive, and that we can all discover our own unique and joyful
practice. As a teacher, I love slow flow vinyasa and restorative yoga. My inspirations arise from a broad
range of traditional beliefs and emerging scientific thought. The teachings and poetry of Pema Chödrön
and Thích Nhất Hạnh hold special places in my heart. In addition to my RYT-200, I attuned at the
Shinpiden level (III) of the Usui Reiki Ryoho lineage of Reiki in 2014. I enjoy dipping into and playing with
traditional and modern energy modalities in my yoga practice.
Description
Qigong: Movement as Medicine - Beginner-Friendly, Accessible, and Balancing
Qigong (pronounced “Chee-gong”) is a holistic health practice developed thousands of years ago as part of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Key components include the cultivation of slow, mindful movement and breath to harmonize the body’s vital life force energy (qi).
Qigong is an excellent practice for stress relief, relaxation, mindfulness, and emotional well-being.
Perfect for beginners and students of all forms of qigong, this class offers a supportive introduction to qigong.
It is estimated that there are more than three thousand forms or lineages of qigong that can be viewed as spiritual/philosophical traditions, medical qigong, and martial arts qigong.
While most forms appear as predominantly male lineages, this class provides insight into a form and supplemental practices developed specifically to support women and female-identifying students.
In this 60-minute qigong class, you’ll experience the moving meditation of qigong, learning postures and movements from the Radiant Lotus Women’s Qigong (RLWQ) long form. You’ll learn foundational concepts of language, energy centers, balance, and movement as a way of harmonizing with the universe.
This class is primarily informed by the proprietary RLWQ system of Qigong Master Daisy Lee. Your instructor, Cyndi Chu, is certified by Daisy as a level 2 RLWQ instructor and is also a student of the 800 year-old Wuji Hundun system of qigong.

Description
Restorative Yoga consists of propping up in long held supportive poses which allows the body to access its parasympathetic nervous system function, which, in turn, helps the body rest, heal, and restore itself to balance.
By allowing time for longer postures, restorative yoga helps elicit the relaxation response. This response can help slow breathing, reduce blood pressure, and produce a feeling of calm and increased well-being.
This class is perfect for all levels of practitioner.
