Ruu Silverman (RYT- 500)
Originally from Estonia, Ruu settled in New York in 2014 and instantly fell in love with Red Hook—the vibrant, grounding energy of this village has held her ever since. Ruu’s journey as a teacher is rooted in the belief that we are all seeking the same thing: a return to ourselves.
Ruu is a certified 500-hour yoga teacher, having completed both her 200-hour and 300-hour Vinyasa training across Europe and the United States. Her classes invite you to come home to your body—to slow down, ground in, and center yourself in the present moment, no matter how much or how little time you have on the mat.
Ruu lives in rhythm with the seasons and tries to breathe in sync with the earth. This way of being allows her to meet each moment—each breath, each class, each student—as if it were the very best. Because it is.
Description
Rooted in Vinyasa but intentionally slowed down, Ruu’s classes offer a grounding flow that meets you exactly where you are. Rather than rushing through movement, we take our time—allowing space to return to the body, tune in to sensation, and feel truly present.
Whether you're moving through something or simply showing up to be, Ruu’s classes hold space for you to land.
