MONDAYS IN BOROUGHBRIDGE METHODIST HALL from 18:00 - 19:00.
Please arrive at least 10 mins early to get settled in. The entrance is at the back of the church with free street parking available.
This Yin Yoga class is suitable for beginners and all levels, as modifications are offered in a slower lineage which descends from Taoist traditions and TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine). This style of yoga involves holding seated and reclined postures for a number of minutes as you free Qi through the meridian lines of the body to release tension & tightness in the connective tissue & joints, whilst finding your flow state on the mat.
We focus on the three principles of Yin Yoga:
1. Hold the pose
2. Find stillness
3. Work toward your edge
Yin Yoga benefits include:
• improve flexibility and joint mobility
• gain greater body awareness and improve posture
• reduce stress, anxiety and improve overall mental health
• increase focus, concentration and brain functioning
• improve circulatory and respiratory health
• boost energy, vitality, self-esteem and confidence
• complement current physical activity and sports
REQUIREMENTS:
- Please bring a yoga mat or you can use one of ours, and any props you may wish to bring (we provide blocks, some bolsters are available, yoga belt/strap and eye pillows for final relaxation). Maybe consider any additional padding for your knees as we are on a hard surface.
- You may wish to have a blanket and your own eye pillow for your final relaxation
- You are able to book in to class up to 2hrs before the start time
- You are able to cancel a class up to 6hrs before the start time. If you cancel within 6hrs then the class fee is payable
- A bank transfer is our preferred payment method
If you have not practiced with Adrianne at Indyoga, we kindly request you complete a Health & Fitness Form and Liability Waiver before attending the class. If you have completed this for any other event, workshop or SUP then you do not need to do again unless anything has changed.
