Join us online on Saturday 27 February from 11:30 – 13:30 for a Yoga workshop to 'Open your Heart to all that is around you’ on and off the mat!
This workshop revolves around the infinite space within the heart centre. Through opening the front gate of the body and delving into backbends, we will explore the relationship of love, kindness and compassion, not only for others, but also for oneself. We invite ‘Bhakti Yoga’ to be present in our practice and introduce devotion, joy, surrender and serenity, to be able to connect to one's soul's purpose.
A beautiful dynamic practice to open the chest, upper back/shoulders and relieving tension in the spine and improving breath control & posture. To boost confidence & low self-esteem and to relieve anxiety, stress or depression… an ideal antidote for modern living or the ‘office’ mind and body!
Our workshop will offer the following:
- Receive health benefits of mudras (hand gestures)
- Learn mantras and meditation techniques to clear and balance the higher chakras
- Set an intention that aligns with your circumstances for healing and opening your heart, not only on the mat, but daily life
- A deeper understanding of ‘Bhakti’ Yoga
- Pranayama (breath control) techniques to increase lung capacity and a healthy heart
- Access the 'Flow State' through Yoga on and off the mat
- Learn the Prana Flow Dancing Warrior 1008 Sun Salutations developed by Shiva Rea
- Focus on breath led movement through a dynamic flow
- Attention to biomechanics of the body during asana
- Introduction of the subtle energies of the body
- Deep relaxation in Savasana
This workshop has limited spaces to maintain intimacy in the workshop and is more suited to students that have practiced yoga before, modifications will be offered.

These classes will be live-streamed via Zoom. Please download the app and you will be sent an email with a weblink 30 minutes before class starts to log in.
