Do you enjoy being upside down? Join us online on Saturday 24 April at 11:30 – 13:30 to ‘Get upside down and let your feet fly’. Learn how to progress safely and build strength to get your feet in the air.
What are the benefits of inversions?
- Improve circulation and increase energy
- Support clear path from Root to Crown Chakra
- Activate parasympathetic nervous system (induces relaxation & stress relief)
- Increases immunity by supporting lymphatic system
- Improves balance & strength
- Gain patience & perspective
- Embrace curious play and invite more fun & joy to your practice
Our workshop will offer the following:
- Starting with conditioning drills to warm up specific areas of the body, we move into a guided inversion practice that is safe and fun. We will learn the basics of the following inversions and their modified poses, there will be time to rest and ask questions before we move to the next inversion:
• Forearm Stand
• Handstand
• Headstand
• Shoulderstand
- Set an intention that aligns with your current circumstances for concentration & balance not only on the mat, but within daily life
- Breathing techniques to increase focus and find stillness in Asana
- Access the 'Flow State' through Inversions on and off the mat
- Attention to alignment and biomechanics of the physical body
- Deeper understanding of the Bandhas (seals/locks)
- Deep relaxation in Savasana
This workshop has limited spaces to maintain intimacy, and is suitable for everyone who practices yoga as modifications will be offered. Please book in advance. Refund available for cancellation within 48hrs
Please have props available like blocks/thick hardback book, bolsters/cushions/pillows, blanket for under shoulders/head and yoga strap/belt. If you are able to practice by a wall this will assist your workshop.
