MIchèle Barocchi
Michèle Anne Barocchi describes her journey as a lifelong exploration of the body and its self-healing potential through various disciplines. After earning a PhD in Infectious Diseases and Immunology at UC Berkeley, she found solace in practicing Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga during her medical training's stressful periods, discovering a powerful connection tool in breathwork. Her life was profoundly impacted by a near-fatal car accident in 2015, which led to the amputation of her left leg and a subsequent 8-month bed rest, during which she explored non-physical forms of healing. The experience of using breath to stay conscious and survive inspired her to support others in their personal healing journeys. She later embraced Transformational Breath®—a technique that helped her regain personal power and release toxic relationships—becoming a certified facilitator. Additionally, she studies Amazonian healing traditions to empower individuals in their transformation. Currently, Michèle collaborates on creating MAPS Italy, aiming to promote awareness and research on psychedelic medicine, emphasizing that what matters most is how we respond to life’s experiences.
