Thomas uses the uses the primary series of the Ashtanga method when he teaches class. Guiding the yogi through the traditional sun salutations and through the standing sequences, finishing off with the closing postures.

With Hatha yoga, you move your body slowly and deliberately into different poses that challenge your strength and flexibility, while at the same time focusing on relaxation and mindfulness.
Hatha yoga places special emphasis on controlled breathing and posture. Building core strength, which is key to good posture, is another important aspect of this type of yoga. Poses are usually held for several breaths before you move onto the next.
Hatha and Vinyasa yoga incorporate many of the same poses. The main difference is the pacing of the classes.
Vinyasa moves at a faster pace and requires greater breathing control than Hatha yoga.
Because it’s done more slowly and poses are held for longer, Hatha yoga allows for more stretching.
One way to sum up the differences is to picture Vinyasa yoga as a cardio workout and Hatha yoga as a stretching and flexibility workout.
Therese in inviting all levels of yogis to come and explore the world of Hatha with her.

We need your help to make it work so please read through the following measures before coming to class.
1. A maximum of 7 students in each class.
2. All yogis have to bring their own mat. NO EXCEPTIONS. We will not let you take class if you come without a mat. We do offer mats for sale (please note that we only have the more expensive ones in stock at the moment)
3. All classes will be taught without props. If you want to bring your own you are more than welcome. We encourage you to BRING YOUR OWN BLANKET to class. NO STUDIO PROPS WILL BE AVAILABLE.

Tin's classes are soft and calm with a focus on grounding the body and landing in the breath to open up and replenish energy.
Yinyoga
In yinyoga, you let your muscles relax completely. You stay in each position for several minutes and at the same time practice conscious presence. When you do, the fascia, the connective tissue, will soften. When stiff, it prevents you from moving.
Each position is held for a 3-5 minutes, which gives us time to calm the mind as well. In yinyoga we want to access the body's fascia, connective tissue, instead of the muscles. This is achieved by not going so deep in the stretch and instead holding the position for a long time. Great focus is on the area around the hips and lowerback. These are especially rich in connective tissue and, according to yoga philosophy, store a lot of physical as well as emotional tension. The important thing is not how the position looks but how it feels.
Yinyoga is suitable for anyone who wants to stretch, relax and train focus and presence. It´s a very calm form of yoga. Everyone is welcome, you do not need any previous knowledge.

Homeopathy is a form of medicine that has been practiced for over 200 years. Homeopathic remedies have the power to balance our life force and directly boost our immunity, helping us to be robust, happy and in balance even when confronted with stresses, illness and injuries. The remedies are safe, effective and low-cost because they are gifts from Mother Nature herself.
In this 2.5 hour course I will teach an introduction to the healing principles of homeopathy and a range of natural homeopathic medicines.
Some of the topics will be:
Homeopathy’s philosophy of life – why are we here, what is health and what is illness?
Important homeopathic remedies for acute situations like injuries, burns, shock, grief and infection.
A short introduction to the homeopathic approach to healing chronic diseases.
At the end of the course there will be an opportunity for questions and answers.

BIOGRAPHY
Nathanael Schwartz was born in Tucson, Arizona in the United States in 1977. He grew up in America and came to Germany on a scholarship to teach at one of the new Universities of former East Germany. After teaching there and in Berlin and then a year of teaching English in Japan, in 2003 he started to study homeopathy and healing full-time in Berlin. His studies took him to Italy and then to India, where homeopathy is taught alongside conventional medicine and Ayurveda medical colleges across the country. There he began many years of study in Dehradun with Dr. Ravi Roy. During that time he began to study yoga, astrology, numerology, and healing with gemstones with the Johari family in Haridwar. Since 2007 he has been practicing homeopathic medicine in Berlin as a “Heilpraktiker” — conducting provings of homeopathic medicines as well as training professional homeopaths. He lives with his lovely Kiwi wife and two small children in Berlin.

The poses are held for 3-5 minutes. You may find it very challenging to hold poses this long at first, Practice tip: come into a pose at your appropriate edge, next become still as you would in meditation, finally, stay for a while.

Yinyoga
In yinyoga, you let your muscles relax completely. You stay in each position for several minutes and at the same time practice conscious presence. When you do, the fascia, the connective tissue, will soften. When stiff, it prevents you from moving.
Each position is held for a 3-5 minutes, which gives us time to calm the mind as well. In yinyoga we want to access the body's fascia, connective tissue, instead of the muscles. This is achieved by not going so deep in the stretch and instead holding the position for a long time. Great focus is on the area around the hips and lowerback. These are especially rich in connective tissue and, according to yoga philosophy, store a lot of physical as well as emotional tension. The important thing is not how the position looks but how it feels.
Yinyoga is suitable for anyone who wants to stretch, relax and train focus and presence. It´s a very calm form of yoga. Everyone is welcome, you do not need any previous knowledge.
