Description
Chair mobility is adaptive for all! It can also be challenging in different ways that may be unexpected!
It can be solely practiced within a chair. However, our practice will also use a chair as a prop to help with balance and strength building and stamina or help with transitioning in and out of postures. Using chairs as supportive tools in standing postures can help provide ease and accessibility to postures that may otherwise be intimidating or inaccessible. Some standing sequences may be more accessible than seated ones.
This is a pop up class and will be facilitated by Shannon

Description
Tai chi is a gentle, low-impact form of exercise in which practitioners perform a series of deliberate, slow flowing movements with breathe. Tai Chi resonates on multiple levels: physically, psychologically, socially, philosophically and on a spiritual level. It is this multilevel combination that has been shown to improve complex chronic diseases that involve many systems throughout the body including the nervous, respiratory, endocrine, and immune systems which all interact with the cardiovascular system affecting how well the heart functions. Practicing tai chi encourages energy flow within the meridians, unblocking any stuck, stagnant chi in the mind and body.
With Sifu Kim’s insightful teachings, you will leave the class, feeling a sense of peace and harmony within.

Description
In our warm yoga class, the studio is heated to a comfortable temperature, between 75°F to 85°F (24°C to 29°C). Warm yoga is designed to gently warm up the muscles and increase flexibility while promoting relaxation. This class begins with a brief grounding or centering breath exercise, followed by gentle stretches to prepare the body for deeper movement.
Emma will lead you through a series of flowing poses focusing on alignment and breath. The warmth of the room helps to ease muscle tension and encourage a deeper stretch, making it ideal for releasing tightness and enhancing mobility.
As the class progresses, the intensity may gradually increase with more dynamic movements, but the overall pace remains moderate, ensuring that students can stay connected to their breath and present in the moment. The practice is designed to be accessible to a range of levels, offering modifications for beginners and more advanced options for seasoned practitioners.
The class concludes with a calming cool-down and relaxation period (Savasana) to leave students feeling refreshed, balanced, and deeply relaxed.

Nathie Paquette
Nathalie (Nathie) has been practicing yoga and mindfulness for over 14 years. She really wanted to expand her awareness and savour the health benefits of yoga, meditation and sound healing. As a classically trained vocalist, her voice is her instrument for healing and wellbeing. Yoga practice and teaching has taught her a way to connect more deeply with herself and others and allowed her the space to grow during challenging times in her life. She discovered the beauty and fun in the simple things, being present in the here and now. Her passion grew into teaching.
“Yoga is a lifelong journey of awakening and remembering, a fine balance between being and letting be, continuously allowing the space for transformation and expansiveness, it really is the Art of Awareness” Nathie.
She is a registered advanced yoga instructor (RYT 500) with the Yoga Alliance and continues her education through CE workshops and training. Her YTT 200hr was in Maui Hawaii with Maui Yoga Shala (under Nadia Toraman (Owner & Founder), Jennifer Bonadio and Shakta, where she experienced the deeper connection of living with Aloha, expanding our awareness and generating abundance and collective healing. Her YTT 300hr was with My Vinyasa Practice (under Michelle Young (Owner & Founder), where she learned the many benefits of online community and other modalities that involve overall wellbeing and healing. Nathie recognizes that yoga is part of practicing compassionate self forgiveness, loving kindness, cultivating inner peace, and extending this out to others.
She developed her own Youtube channel (Aloha Nathie Yoga) during covid to assist the public with free home yoga & wellness practices during times of stress and isolation.
Nathie continues to pursue interests in yoga therapy, sound healing methodologies and yoga Nidra, as a way to deepen connection, wellbeing and balance.
She holds space for every Soul in her classes, and fosters the Spirit of Aloha in all.

Description
Restorative yoga is a slow and grounding practice and is also a quiet practice with plenty of space for silence and meditation. Vocal sound healing may be integrated in any practice through Nathie's singing, using vibrations to relax the physical and energetic bodies.
This class is designed to gradually open the body while prompting the Parasympathetic Nervous System to come online and initiate a healing response, and it can also calm the mind, release muscle tension and reduce stress and anxiety. In addition to healing, restorative yoga helps with injury prevention.
Restorative yoga practice complements exercise routines as well. In this class, we transition in and out of three to five poses total. Restorative yoga provides us with extra support using the wall, chairs, bolsters, blankets, blocks, and straps.
Guided relaxation (Yoga Nidra) is integrated in this class, holding everyone in a safe space of deep seeded nourishment, peacefulness and wellbeing.
This class is inspired by Nischala Joy Devi, Richard Miller (iRest), Judith Hanson Lasater ❤️.
NOTE: Props are provided within the Studio. If you have your own props you would like to use during class, such as eye covers or any other, you are welcome to bring them along.
