Jennie is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience of yoga, both on and off the mat, so that others may discover all that it has to offer.
Description
In SURYA, we begin with an energising pranayama, then challenge our body and minds with a strengthening practice, exploring asanas from the Ashtanga series, modifying where necessary to prioritise the essence and energetic awareness of the postures over making them look picture perfect.
This is not a led Ashtanga class, but is suitable for both practitioners of Ashtanga looking to support their self-practice as well as those completely new to yoga.

Oliver Richard
Oliver Richard has been teaching yoga since 2018, and practising since 2014. He began his journey at Love Yoga in Sarah Durney’s Mysore room, furthering this in 2017 upon travelling to India for the first time to study with Bharat Shetty of Indea Yoga.
His Tuesday evening Mysore class is a perfect complement to Charlie’s morning sessions, with a large overlap between their teaching. This evening slot allows yogis a chance to practice later in the day if they can’t manage the earlier times, and is an inclusive room where all styles of yogic asana are welcome, as well as meditation and pranayama.
Oliver is always keen to focus on the parallels between modern science and ancient yogic philosophy, as they both attempt to make sense of what it means to be human. Further, he has a special passion for pranayama and its many effects on the practitioner. Much of this stems from his first class degree in Neuroscience with Psychology from Aberdeen University, 2011.

These sessions run on the third Saturday of every month and will either be the Foundation or Primary series. Foundation series (created by Bharath Shetty) shares similarities to the Ashtanga Primary series but with a slightly different order of postures and without the many jump backs and jump throughs. Where the Foundation series focuses more on hip opening and postural integrity, the Ashtanga Primary series has more emphasis on stamina and endurance. Both sequences can be fun and challenging and you can do as much or as little as you want in the class.

Description
Come mellow out, meditate, make music and make friends at this fun and informal mantra meditation evening hosted by kirtan leaders and meditation teachers Neil and Bella.
What it's all about: Kirtan is a call and response musical meditation from the yoga tradition, considered the most potent form of meditation in this day and age. Bathing in and singing these powerful transcendental sound vibrations cleanses the heart and the mind and brings peace to the soul.
We open our meditation with a guided breathing practice and a resonant mantra circle that takes you deep into a meditative space. Then, sing along with ancient mantras in a call and response format. Come listen, soak up the vibes, sing along, and bring an instrument to jam along if you feel inspired!
Beginners are highly encouraged, all ages, voices and experiences welcome!
The session is free of charge, no need to bring anything and chairs will be available.
Feel free to text Bella directly if you have any questions at 07501442771
What it's all about: Kirtan is a call and response musical meditation from the yoga tradition, considered the most potent form of meditation in this day and age.
