What makes Slow Flow on Monday’s such a good start of your week? Monday’s have a bad reputation, so why not change your view on it?

This class is a slow Vinyasa class, also known as slow flow. Moving to the rhythm of your breath, we will flow from one pose to the next.

Make Monday morning something to look forward to. Use the one hour we spend together to check in with yourself. Chances are you have already gone over your calendar and you know what is coming on your to-do list. It might be easier to tackle that list, to start all the topics on your calendar in the best possible way, if you take time to check in with yourself. How are you doing this week? How is your energy level? And then we’ll start moving from there. Consciously, tapping into what’s already there and finding your inner strength in a slow and loving way. Making sure that you are ready to face whatever the week brings in the best possible way.

This class is for all levels, and both men and women welcome!

Het wordt ook wel Chinese Yoga genoemd, al is het veel omvattender dan dat.

Qigong is het samen komen van beweging en meditatie. Een bewegingsvorm waar de bewegingen meerdere keren herhaald worden op een zachte en krachtige manier.

De eenvoudige oefeningen helpen blokkades te herkennen, los te laten en lichaam en geest weer met energie op te laden.

Qigong brengt je meer en meer in contact met je ware zelf en jouw unieke talenten. Het versterkt bovendien je intuïtie en maakt je krachtig.

There will always be attention to the mental wellbeing of each child as well. Lastly, not to be forgotten: Aerial Yoga is FUN!

Make sure that the kids wear zipper and button free clothing to help keep our hammocks safe. Refrain from eating and drinking 1 hour from the start of class!

What is Yin Yoga?

In Yin Yoga we move at a slower pace, holding poses for up to five minutes. Instead of heating up, we relax the muscles as much as possible. In these passive poses we can work the deeper connective tissues – tendons, ligaments and fascia.

Yin completes a more heating yang practice, such as Vinyasa yoga, running or weight exercise. In Yin we slow things down and turn inward. A wonderful antidote in today‘s fast-paced world.

In the Hatha Yoga practice the focus is on loosening and strengthening the body. It is a static practice, rather than a flowing one, and there is always time for relaxation between different postures.

Regulating the breath plays an important role in the practice in order to stabilize it. The Hatha Yoga practice will calm down and quiet your mind. After the practice you will feel peaceful, open and strong.

It is a mild practice so it is a great style for people who are new to yoga or students who prefer a more relaxed style.

feeling tired, stressed or overworked, this type of yoga is the answer!!

The poses range from being on, hovering slightly over and off the ground. I
will find those poses to be grounding, healing and challenging.
It's a different feel from regular Aerial classes with our hammocks (waist
level) but it's definitely something that might interest you to add to your
weekly routines. Or just try once. No experience is needed.

In our Prenatal Aerial classes the hammock (sling) will be used to remove pressure from certain areas of the body, release tension, and build strength and flexibility to prepare for labor.

Changing of your body and upcoming needs will be discussed in-between exercises, while being appropriately gentle and safe for you and your baby.

For prenatal use, our hammocks are just another tool preparing your mind, body, emotions and spirit for birth. No difficult or acrobatic poses should be expected like we would use the slings generally in a typical aerial yoga class.

You will practice to:
- Listen to your body, staying true to you in every moment
- Being present
- Being kind to yourself, and take deep breaths.

Added bonus: some guided meditation and savasana in the hammock, letting the sensation of weightlessness melt away your tension.

You will leave feeling like you truly worked your body, yet in a safe, conscious and effective manner.

No previous experience practicing Yoga or Pilates is required. Al stages of pregnancy are welcome.
If you have (pregnancy) complaints or injuries you are welcome to join, but let the teacher know upfront!!

De drempel om deel te nemen aan een yogales kan net te hoog zijn, daarom organiseren wij maandelijks 'Yoga voor Beginners'. In deze sessie kun je op informele wijze kennis maken met yoga. Deze sessie is voor iedereen die kennis wil maken met yoga, ervaring met yoga is dus niet nodig.

Suitable for all ages, Yogalates is an excellent blend of Yoga and Pilates. This method is gaining popularity all over the world. Here are some of the benefits of Yogalates:

1. Increased body strength
Yogalates consists of 40 different poses that vary in their difficulty levels. On the whole, you have exercises that are of both low and high intensity. By engaging various muscle groups, these poses help you gain body strength. Yogalates also aids in lengthening the muscles and especially helps make your lower and abdominal back strong.

Ashtanga yoga is modern, energetic and an active style of yoga, which consists of several asanas ordered in sequence.

In this 60 minute class we will go through a few primary series, which might seem very advanced, although we always find adaptations for beginners, too.

In this practice you will find a lot of strength along with great concentration and steadiness, while synchronizing breath and movement.

Ashtanga yoga is for you if you want a challenge and you love structure. The practice is identical from day to day, and it takes most people years to move up a level.

NOTE: If you have sensitive muscles or joints, this may not be the practice for you.

Find balance and energy with Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga will allow you to reduce stress, calm and balance body and mind. It can help you improve your flexibility and mobility. We‘ll work to free up the energy in the body, making your Organs happy.

What is Yin Yoga?

In Yin Yoga we move at a slower pace, holding poses for up to five minutes. Instead of heating up, we relax the muscles as much as possible. In these passive poses we can work the deeper connective tissues – tendons, ligaments and fascia.

You are the Yin to my Yang <3

Yin completes a more heating yang practice, such as Vinyasa yoga, running or weight exercise. In Yin we slow things down and turn inward. A wonderful antidote in today‘s fast-paced world.

Join Nicola every Sunday evening at 20:30 at Womanhood Studio for an hour of Yin yoga.
