In Kids Aerial Yoga fantasy becomes a reality by using our Aerial hammocks. The hammocks help us feel weightless, they let us fly and give your kids a chance to use all their creative energy.

There are many benefits to Aerial Yoga. We work on motor skills and balance, develop body awareness. Through play we work on building strength while we also work on our social skills.

Each class starts with a little bit of mindfulness and we end with a yummy relaxation the hammocks.

There will always be attention to the mental wellbeing of each child as well. Lastly, not to be forgotten: Aerial Yoga is FUN!

Make sure that the kids wear zipper and button free clothing to help keep our hammocks safe. Refrain from eating and drinking 1 hour from the start of class!

What is Yin Yoga?

In Yin Yoga we move at a slower pace, holding poses for up to five minutes. Instead of heating up, we relax the muscles as much as possible. In these passive poses we can work the deeper connective tissues – tendons, ligaments and fascia.

You are the Yin to my Yang <3

Yin completes a more heating yang practice, such as Vinyasa yoga, running or weight exercise. In Yin we slow things down and turn inward. A wonderful antidote in today‘s fast-paced world.

Join Eva every Wednesday evening at 21.00 at Womanhood Studio for an hour of Yin yoga starting from August 29.

In the Hatha Yoga practice the focus is on loosening and strengthening the body. It is a static practice, rather than a flowing one, and there is always time for relaxation between different postures.

Regulating the breath plays an important role in the practice in order to stabilize it. The Hatha Yoga practice will calm down and quiet your mind. After the practice you will feel peaceful, open and strong.

It is a mild practice so it is a great style for people who are new to yoga or students who prefer a more relaxed style.

Men and women are welcome. All levels.

In our Prenatal Aerial classes the hammock (sling) will be used to remove pressure from certain areas of the body, release tension, and build strength and flexibility to prepare for labor.

Changing of your body and upcoming needs will be discussed in-between exercises, while being appropriately gentle and safe for you and your baby.

For prenatal use, our hammocks are just another tool preparing your mind, body, emotions and spirit for birth. No difficult or acrobatic poses should be expected like we would use the slings generally in a typical aerial yoga class.

You will practice to:
- Listen to your body, staying true to you in every moment
- Being present
- Being kind to yourself, and take deep breaths.

Added bonus: some guided meditation and savasana in the hammock, letting the sensation of weightlessness melt away your tension.

You will leave feeling like you truly worked your body, yet in a safe, conscious and effective manner.

No previous experience practicing Yoga or Pilates is required. Al stages of pregnancy are welcome.
If you have (pregnancy) complaints or injuries you are welcome to join, but let the teacher know upfront!!

Onze lichamen zijn een afspiegeling van wat we voelen, denken en geloven. Chakra's zijn de energiecentra in ons lichaam. Je kan ze niet zien, maar stel ze voor als wielen, containers van energie. De energie stroomt door onze lichamen door de chakra's.

De mate waarop een chakra in evenwicht of in balans is, is sterk verbonden met onze gevoelens en gedachten. De basischakra heeft bijvoorbeeld betrekking op hoe we ons met anderen en overlevingsvraagstukken verbinden.

Wanneer deze chakra in disbalans is, kan dit invloed hebben op het vertrouwen en ons gevoel van veiligheid. Wanneer één chakra uit balans is, heeft dit ook invloed op de andere chakra's en ons algehele welzijn.
In deze workshop wordt je geïntroduceerd in het chakrasysteem en hoe het verband houdt met het energieke lichaam. Dit geeft je een beeld over wat chakra's zijn en hoe je er meer aandacht kan geven tijdens de yoga oefeningen. Door middel van geluid, yoga en mediatie en essentiële oliën zullen we werken aan het balanceren van de chakra's.
Aan het eind van de workshop voel je je ontspannen en vol nieuwe energie.

Melanie heeft meerdere chakra workshops verzorgd in Noorwegen en een chakra yogaretreat in Portugal. De reacties waren altijd erg positief. Our bodies are a reflection of what we feel, think and believe. Chakra's are the energy centers in our body. You can not see them, but imagine them as wheels, containers of energy. The energy is flowing through our bodies throught the chakra's.
Whether a chakra is in balance or in disbalance it is strongly connected to our feelings, thoughts and believes.

The root chakra for example relates to how we connect with others and to survival issues. When this chakra is indisbalance the person will have difficulties with trust and feels unsafe.
When one chakra is in disbalance is will also affect the other chakra's and our overall well being.

In this workshop you will be introduced in the chakra system and how it relates to the energetic body. This gives you a picture of what chakras are and how you can give more attention during the yoga exercises. Through sound, yoga and mediation and essential oils we will work on balancing the chakra's. At the end of the workshop you feel relaxed and full of new energy.

Melanie hosted several workshops in Norway and an yoga retreat in Portugal around the chakra's. The reactions of the participants were always really positive. Now she finally has the chance to share her knowledge and experience her in the Netherlands. Depending on the participants the workshop will be in English or Dutch.

Yogalates consists of 40 different poses that vary in their difficulty levels. On the whole, you have exercises that are of both low and high intensity. By engaging various muscle groups, these poses help you gain body strength. Yogalates also aids in lengthening the muscles and especially helps make your lower and abdominal back strong.

2. Enhanced flexibility
Even if you just do Yoga or Pilates, your body will benefit from enhanced flexibility. Imagine how effective will Yogalates be when it comes to body elasticity! Deelnemers aan de workshop Welkom in draagland zullen een introductie krijgen tot het veilig en ergonomisch dragen van hun kindje. Daarnaast wordt er zowel uitleg gegeven als gedemonstreerd hoe de verschillende draagmethoden werken en wat er allemaal op de markt beschikbaar is. Draagervaring is niet nodig.

‘Welkom in draagland’ is an introductory workshop about the safe and ergonomic ways to carry your child. The use of ergonomic slings and baby carriers ensures that our baby feels and is safe and secure, but also gives us the freedom to undertake other activities. Wearing a sling or carrier is super comfortable and also very practical.

Workshop participants will get an introduction to the safe and ergonomic way to carry their child. In addition to the explanation, a demonstration of the different methods of baby wearing will be given and a discussion about the products in the market today. Baby wearing experience is not necessary to join the workshop.

During the workshop we will cover the following topics:

'Meet and greet' introduction round.
Why wear your baby? - short summary of the benefits of wearing your baby.
Explanation of what is ergonomically correct in wearing your baby and its importance for the development of your baby / child.
A demonstration of the different wearing methods.
Practical exercise- choose a carrier and try it out directly on the real life dolls we have present in the studio.

You will be using everything from your arms, and legs to your neck and your back. All these different poses will help you stretch the various body parts and hence give you body flexibility.

Deelnemers aan de workshop Welkom in draagland zullen een introductie krijgen tot het veilig en ergonomisch dragen van hun kindje. Daarnaast wordt er zowel uitleg gegeven als gedemonstreerd hoe de verschillende draagmethoden werken en wat er allemaal op de markt beschikbaar is. Draagervaring is niet nodig.

‘Welkom in draagland’ is an introductory workshop about the safe and ergonomic ways to carry your child. The use of ergonomic slings and baby carriers ensures that our baby feels and is safe and secure, but also gives us the freedom to undertake other activities. Wearing a sling or carrier is super comfortable and also very practical.

Workshop participants will get an introduction to the safe and ergonomic way to carry their child. In addition to the explanation, a demonstration of the different methods of baby wearing will be given and a discussion about the products in the market today. Baby wearing experience is not necessary to join the workshop.

During the workshop we will cover the following topics:

'Meet and greet' introduction round.
Why wear your baby? - short summary of the benefits of wearing your baby.
Explanation of what is ergonomically correct in wearing your baby and its importance for the development of your baby / child.
A demonstration of the different wearing methods.
Practical exercise- choose a carrier and try it out directly on the real life dolls we have present in the studio.
